There is an epidemic lack of awareness among the citizens of the world's democratic nations. Most of them are not qualified to partake in social and political decision-making and are therefore nonparticipants in the democratic process. Our ignorance of the issues of the day is a direct result of our media's glorified explanations of world events. This info-video offers a potential solution. It is a clear and concise visual narrative, promoting the rejection of mainstream media's views and encouraging critical awareness among the viewers, creating a more informed society that can better participate in our democracies.

Good and accurate summation of the West's onslaught and exploitation of the Middle Easts natural resources and its people. Host this on link to generate awareness of the Bush doctrines foreign policy on "the war on terror"...

Jonathon. Thank you for sending this to me. I congratulate you on the quality of the work; its content and delivery are "correct". I wonder why you selected a female voice as commentator. Perhaps a male voice would have added "weight and more credability". I remain interested to see more of your work. DC -

Hey Jon, i completely agree with your comments under the description box, and i often think about the same issues. i also believe that video as a medium is an influencial method to spread knowledge and help eliminate ignorance. only through education and knowledge can we change the world and keep governments from "tricking" us and making decisions that are not in the best interest of our planet. THis is an extremely complex issue (as you realize). As countries such as china continue rapid development and population growth the world's energy supply will be in huge trouble. ex. china, by the year 2050 will need 12 earths to support their demand for natural resources. a little Scary! They will also require ALL of the earths current production of energy....all energy, including all the oil. The more i study this issues, i'm convinced its up to our generation to push our government and educate the people about the alternatives that exsist and that are being surpress. i envy your ability to produce soemthing like this, and hope to someday be able to do the same. the visuals where amazing, you say soo much with out actually scripting it. Green Light! and i hope you continue making videos like this one. I also hope to contribute in campaigns like this one. Good luck! Cherith

Great video, but you argue that the U.S. was selling weapons and technology to countries in the region (true) after the second Persian Gulf War (1991) while showing parachutes dropping into Iran. In fact, the U.S. does not do business with Iran and it is illegal (Iran-Libya Sanctions Act) for any U.S. based business or subsidiary to conduct business with Iran. U.S. sanctions go so far as denying Iran the right to spare airplane parts for commercial airliners. You also show Iran with U.S. flags (I assume to denote the presence of U.S. military bases). This, again, is obviously not the case. Iran was occupied during WW ll, but it was by the British and Russians, not the U.S. In any case, while your video was interesting and your point is well taken, you should probably re-cartographize your piece by showing U.S. bases in Iraq, Kuwait, and the Arabian peninsula. I know your motivation is railing against the systematic disinformation campaign that the media and all governments engage in, but for people who can read a map of the region (and for those who can't as well), visual imagery of the geopolitical history of the region can go a long way in shaping our understanding and knowledge of Current events.
