This is a story of missing people,boys and men who were picked up by security forces and then simply disappeared.The location is Kashmir.Sandwiched between India
and Pakistan, Kashmir is a battleground for both.Since the men are missing,not declared dead their wives are not widows but ‘half widows.’




Afroza, is one such unfortunate woman whose husband, Abdul Majeed Agoo, disappeared Twelve years ago, when she was barely 24 years old and their son was a six-month-old baby.

"I am ready to gift my clothes to anyone who tells me that my husband is alive and will return even after 10 more years," she says in a choked voice.My son Aamir Majeed, is now 10 years old,

I still hope that Majeed will return home as my heart is not ready to accept that I am a widow as I have not seen the body or the funeral of my husband,'' Afroza said. Afroza refuses to accept that her husband would be no more.

  • I greenlight this - it is a good example of the horrors that go on in that part of the world. But I recommend adding a dark "shadow" behind the text. I had trouble reading it in places where the color of the footage in that area was light... And I agree. The description is a wee bit long.

  • I think this is a compelling story. However, I felt a little lost. I think things would have been clearer if there was a little set-up in the beginning, stating the geographoc location and the sides involved. Also, if some of the description were in the video itself as a narration, and the subtitles were easier to read, I think it would be a little clearer. You have some great interviews and shots, and I really enjoy the protective nature of the child and his mother. Make it a little more comprehensible, and I will GL it.

  • Amazing footage and a compelling story - but it is hard to follow was is going on. I think a little voice over and/or clearer subtitles would help. I also found audio slightly distracting.

  • Is there in fact any way for Afroza to find out if her husband is alive? Can Amnesty get involved? I agree it was difficult to read in some parts but it still kept me interested.

  • Very compelling but I would like to see the timeline tightened up a little. I know it is difficult to cut when it seems as if every part is so important but a shorter piece would be easier to follow. Also some context provided, in the form of text or naration, that indicates the time and place of the actions being described and something to identify the people speaking before we hear their commentary would be helpful. I am very impressed with the footage and interviews you have obtained and give this pod a greenlight with the hope of seeing more from you in the future.

  • Good enough for TV is really subjective when giving a Greenlight. I think this piece is really good and more than ready for Link TV. For what I see on Current, the production values, ie readability of the subtitles, better establishing material at the beginning, tightening of the story line, etc. and of course length could use some reworking. I watch both Link and Current and this gets a Greenllight from me because it is the kind of programming I would like to see more of. It is a very sad story that no one ever tells. Thanks.

  • Really, very horror story of the South Asia, I thought, We all People should give support, when i was watching this film after then totally upset.
    Now, I am giving greenlight to this film.

  • The shots are excellent and the story is pretty good, I think the only thing you need is to add some commentary to lead through the story and maybe a little bit of music?
