In 2002, Layne Staley, the lead singer of Alice in Chains, passed away. His music saved me from suicide when I was 13 years old, so I was crushed when the news hit me. I eventually flew out to Seatte on my own (it was my first time flying) to present his mother(Nancy) with a gift as my special way of thanking Layne the best way I knew how. You can never thank anyone enough (even if you did not personally know them) for saving your life. This video is the speech I gave, about my story, the final night of a memorial held in his home town, and presented my gift of gratitude to his mother. To me it was a turning point in my life, and took alot of courage I didn't even know I possessed.

Thank you for your story. GL

That's the thing about courage. It just rises up.
I'd say change this pod some--make it more than a record of your speech. Early, first: make the story matter, make its value evident. It does matter and it does have value, huge value. Give it to the viewer. -
How would you suggest doing that exactly? I was there and know what it meant to me, but what do you get out of it? And how should I make you feel as I did?
