This is a story of hope, a story which strives to open the eyes of the viewers across the world to a love which transcends continents, cultures and race.
I work with an incredible woman called Rosie Mashale in Cape Town South Africa at Baphumelele Children's Home. The orphanage is home to about 120 kids who are either infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.
24 million is a figure I still struggle to wrap my head around. That's how many people have died so far from AIDs. And it's particularly bad in Africa. Now that I know each child well, that figure starts to gain some meaning as I try and put faces and names behind the statistics.

Ellen, we hope your video will bring the story of Khayelitsha and Baphumelele to a wider audience. Chris and Lib's favorite part of our family trip to Cape Town was spending time with the kids at Baphumelele. --Barb & Steve S. Arlington, VA

This a wonderful and has my vote. We need to keep the message going out that there are children who are innocent victims and need our love and support
-
The kids look great! It's a fabulous tribute to Baphumelele and CHOSA and all of the workers, volunteers, former volunteers, and children there! Keep the message going!

EXTRAORDINARY! Beautifully told story and a wonderful subject. I was absolutely rived from beginning to end. Kudos! I hope we see more. The only criticism is that there is no website to find out more information! GL!

ELL,
What a GREAT way to support and spread the story of CHOSA(Children of South Africa). I am going to www.CHOSA.org to send money NOW.
My love to you, Rosie and everyone at Baphumelele. Jules -
enter your post hereThis AIDS/HIV vidoe is without a doubt, in my opinion, the best I have seen. Ellen manages to get the mesage across and at the same time take us into her 'family' and make it our FAMILY. Bravo !!!! Should be seen on T.V. Oprah's Angel Network take heed. Here are deserving candidates. Sunset

Dear Ellen -- Write to me sometime. I'll do my best to help support your work at the Baphumelele Children's Home, in whatever small way. At some point, I may even visit the Children's Home, if you think it advisable.
I've worked on and off in the AIDS epidemic since 1985. My day job is hedge fund manager.
You may write to me at: John Sakowicz, The City of Ten Thousand Buddhas, PO Box 572, Talmage, CA 95481.
God bless you.
Namaste -- John-
