VISION SEED
One mans vision is another mans destiny.
Willy Whitefeather was the visionary who inspired the award-winning animated short film HOPE, directed by Catherine Margerin, and produced by Mary Mathaisell.
In Vision Seed, images of Whitefeather himself are overlaid against the backdrop of HOPE, the original short film, as the viewer is carried into the story with Whitefeathers own voice as narrator. What was once an fantastic journey told in spectacular imagery, and sound, has now been blessed with the added beauty of the oral tradition; a legacy which Whitefeather upholds.
Modern-day mythmaker, and storyteller for young and old alike, Whitefeather provides a vision carried from the ancients into modernity, of hope that human beings may one day move beyond just tolerance to an embrace of all differing views, peoples, and beliefs: An embrace that holds within it a joyous acceptance, and bliss that naturally compels humankind toward service, and the help of all creation.
Whitefeathers seed has germinated, sprouted, and branched out to people around the world, like a contemporary Kokopelli spreading seeds for future generations, Whitefeathers vision has also made its way into the documentary film, Dance With Destiny.
Filmmaker Bruce Weaver met Whitefeather while developing his documentary film about the future of humanity, as we currently sit dangerously close to the edge of possible extinction, environmental collapse, and careless distruction of our home; the Earth.
Willy Whitefeather is the copyright holder to HOPE, and has provided director Bruce Weaver with permission to use the film HOPE both in his film Dance With Destiny, and in this one, VISION SEED.
A very great vision is
needed and the person
who has it must follow
it as the eagle seeks
the deepest blue
of the sky.

I really like this piece. Great imagery, Great message, excellent job editing. GL.

The adjectives overflow. This pod was gorgeous, inspiring, motivational, emotional...it was POWERFUL: I love the montage of images juxtaposed with his words. There are some breath-taking images here. Did you use mostly archival footage or did you shoot some of the images yourself`?
The only thing that bothered me was that the end titles didnt seem to flow with the rest of the piece. The fonts were different and were just not as lyrical and harmonious as the pod itself.
Well-done, GL. I hope that this pod makes us reconsider our own place in the world. I hope it makes people stop and think about the realities we face. Thank you for the brain food. -
This pod made me feel simultaneously sad and inspired. There was so much hope, hope in the seemingly hopeless. He is a visionary, and despite all that is going on in our world, he truly can inspire you to change.
I am currently traveling around the world, depending on the kindness of strangers. They are taking such good care of me, that I have truly realized that helping each other is the way to world peace. Its a phenomenal realization from a phenomenal pod.

This is an amazing work of art, beauty, and message!
Incredible labor and attention to detail in putting this together! GL -
Yes, a powerful message. But, there's also magic in the interpretation...what I enjoyed most was this sense of a beautiful visual chaos happening around rhythmic spoken word. It was very poetic, thoughtful and captivating... and should reach people beyond the web. Nice work.

Beautiful and powerful, I enjoyed the animation and chaotic imagery in contrast to the mellow music and simple storytelling of the narrator.

Beautiful work.

Wow... A wonderful work with a deep message to the Great Spirit in each of us. The onslaught of imagery and narration blended together to touch the heart and awaken the mind to peril and hope. Keep it up.

Wonderful piece but perhaps too long of a description.

Respect!
Stop the killing. Stop the hate.
Peace is good. -
Powerful. Timely. Hopeful to know that we have a choice in whether to take the path of peace or war. Let's have more of this message hypnotizing us on TV... way better than the war machine.
-
Great job. Beautiffully filmed and edited
-
what a beautiful piece, dharmadog. Whitefeather is a great teacher and it is so important that others get a chance to hear his message. You did a really beautiful job blending the footage from Hope with his words. My friend, a native woman sat here watching with me and wouldn't stop buzzing with excitement and cries of "aho mitakuaye oyasin!"
My only criticism would be that the picture in picture was distracting as it was executed- I would have liked to see split screen instead of PIP so that we could see the entirety of both video layers. But that's just me being nitpicky =)
Thank you for sharing this! Keep it up!

Really beuatiful work; even the match shots at the beginning of the video already are powerful and take me into the video. The narration's tone is great. It's not over the top, and not boring too. Great job!

This piece is well done. Im always a little cautious about folks who claim to be sages, shaman and so forth just because there is a huge responsibility as a teacher to stir people right. Follow your Bliss, yes that was the best thing the gentleman could say. He was rather critical of those 3rd grade people though. For those who want to live free from war we certainly will seek a better way. But perhaps we shouldnt look down upon those who do choose it. Its always been an equal part of life.
-
a story well told. the images and messages superimposed within each one of us.
-
beautifuly done, very tastful use of animation, good pacing GL for sure

Vision Seed is about to run its course in this line-up, before it disappears
I thought I might do some self-promotion. Why? self promote you say. I will
tell you why.
It seems both Vision Seed and Ecovillage Tour did very well in the GREENLIGHT
process not to mention RAVE reviews. Now a last comment from someone who really
appreciated its value, is a very, very good one and one I use as the
question.
"This deserves to be on t.v. I can’t imagine why it isn’t
there already."
Heres another question.
CURRENT what happened to the last 30 days of Ecovillage Tour in the lineup.
They shut it down and never got it back up. No
Longer Eligible
They both where rated high in comments and in GreenLights. Vision Seed is running
out on its 90days, and ecovillage was ripped early.
So Current? What’s up? Willy Whitefeather would love to have your
500$ for his continued teaching and travels, but you know what? He doesn’t
need your money, he would probably just say show it for free on TV!!! If this
seems to be what’s holding it back from airing. I sure could
use an additional 500 for airing Ecovillage Tour for my upcoming trip…..>>>>>>>>>> H

for some reason is offering the top of the “TOLERANCE” competition
winners but where unable to get these other submissions into the lineup for
those to really come across more easily. Sad again as we all know the amount
of work that goes into the creation of such work.
