This pod was created to serve as a worldwide conduit for peace, religious tolerance and human rights. In a very short time, the United States' unilateral war on terrorism and its accompanying foreign policy have stifled the evolution of humanity on a tragic scale.

"Against" exposes the disconnect that exists today between people of different religions and nationalities and suggests that we have all become pawns of institutional government and religion. Humanity has been boiled down and polarized into two camps: the terrorists and the infidels. Yet at our emotional and physical core, we are all the same.

Perhaps the only way to break this cycle of hate and intolerance is to find a common voice for humanity. The video asks the question, "What if we had a chance?" and suggests that choosing hope over fear will open the vital lines of communication that have been literally bombed out of our existence.

The video's iconic simplicity is designed to deliver a message of peace and tolerance that translates across every language and culture.

  • I think the song is very appropriate in that it is pleading to the times we are living right now....the video ties in that, although the complex issues the world faces (with war, famine, poverty, the destruction of nature) if given the chance, we could simply turn it around, unit, and put and end to it all and have peace. But will that chance ever come? Or is it already too late?

    I love every minute and second of it, the band members, Danny & Eddie are extremely nice and very understanding, down to earth guys. I recommend this band to anyone and everyone, please put this on TV. It'd mean a great load to me.

  • Great song. I appreciate the way you've made your message universal using graphics. Well performed songs as well. Greenlight for sure.
    Now the wish list: Nothing reaches out and grabs the heart like pictures of people suffering (especially children) and nothing lifts the heart more than hope.
    Somehow, I'd find a way to intersperse both to turn it into a truly blockbuster message.

    I had a revalation when I was working on a video for a Black African cultural event last week:
    "My dream is not to see one culture rise up amidst a world of discrimination, but to see all races sharing and celebrating their differences under one united humanity." So it appears you and I are preaching similar messages.

  • Kid-like drawings combined with the sad music gave this piece and extremely eerie feel (appropriate for the subject matter). I really liked the human figure created from ALL the cultural symbols -- a very powerful way to abolish the paradigm of nationality and advocate the move toward a world identity.
