I wanted this one to be a little more technically proficient so I built a rig on wheels that holds the good camera and 2 large gold reflectors. It definately helps the lighting and it gives me a more natural looking shot. I can also use a body mic. I'm not sure if I will continue to use this spinning technique. I'm on the fence. Will it become a kind of trademark to do it in different locations. . . or will it just get old? Feedback is appreciated.

I wanted to use the same end graphic to tie this batch of rants together into a series. I may change the visuals up but I was at least thinking of keeping the slogan as a tag for these patriot themed rants.

How about doing one on a rolling dolly? A prison pod rant would be great if you could film on location inside a prison... but that a logisitical nightmare. Hmm. There are pretty much endless possibilities, and yeah, you might want to chill out on the spinning for future pods.

The closeups worked better for me, showed more emotiion. And I'd lose the headband next time - too richard simmons for me. I still think the message is dead on though, and you have a penchant for ranting!

Yea zen there's lots of stuff I can, and will, do. This rant sort of came blurting out as I was testing this rolling rig.

great video, (of course it is the first one I have seen on this site, so I had to become a member to give it a green light) I totally agree with the poins you made, keep up the good work, and educate the other sheeple out there before they follow themselves off a cliff.

Love the techique........I'm not a big fan of jump cuts (sorry old school) but they really work in your POD......

wow, intense but thats what rants are supposed to be right? The spinning technique is fine but the reflecters kinda bothered me, maybe a better cooler location would spice it up a bit, but thats just nit picking...GL!

intense topic to discuss. I have heard some of these questions raised before. Some of the things you mentioned are slightly related to my pod I recently uploaded.

Right ON! Finally someone else see's what's going on. It's time for a Regime change.....VOTE DEMOCRAT. (I personally don't think the Dem's have anything to offer us but Bush and his thugs have to go.) For all of you who still don't get it, I would rather have a President who screwed his intern than one who screwed his Country!

Too similar to your last piece. Not in content but in your approach. It doesn't work for me this time round. I want off the merry go round! You even utilize the same ending. I was impressed by your interesting approach in your torture bill rant and hope that in the future you will try a different but equally bold technique. I think you are a wonderful producer and have made the possibly the most interesting and relevant rant this network has ever seen with your last piece but I hope to see more from you than this. It feels like a recycled piece to me.

Don't worry. I won't be spinning forever :) This was intended as as a more polished look, and slightly less over the edge, that continues the same theme that our country is being spun in broad daylight into something it shouldn't be. We are on a troubling road and standing on a corner of that road. Things may get dizzy from here if America doesn't wake up.

LOVE what you have to say! A little spinning goes a long way. I wanted to watch the whole thing, but I had to stop for fear i'd hurl on my keyboard. One or two spin breaks might help. Definite greenlight, though. Keep ranting!!

I actually kind of like the fact that the spinning becomes too intense for some people. That is exactly the kind of feeling I have when I see how much spin our government is feeding the American people every day. The approach of the first video was saying "If fear is the only thing you respond to then I am going to scare you into listening". The moving camera was secondary. This one is saying "If you are going to be spun so easily by your government then I am going to spin you just as hard the other way till you puke on the truth.

That said, I would not be opposed to dropping in more footage, and some animated still images, if it comes right down to it. This Pod began as an experiment with my rolling rig and I posted it because I liked the way it came out. I think it is doing so well because people like what it is saying and that's great. My company has had me working on commercial stuff lately, and I have other Pod projects happening as well, so I haven't had time to revisit it. If this pod continues to do as well as it is, or if Current comes calling, I will probably need to make a hole in my schedule to address this concern.

For now I guess you can just close your eyes if the ride gets too intense. :)

I definitely would have tried to do this shoot on a overcast day or at another time during the day. This would have helped with the lighting issues, but I'll give it the GL

The lighting was an experement to make the most out of the situation. I live in the desert where overcast days are pretty rare. I wanted the light to be changing and evolving as I moved so I decided direct sunlight alternating with two different kinds of reflectors might make for an interesting dance.
