  • Could have been a great video, but go lighter on the effects next time. It really takes away from the riding.

  • Thanks for your comment.
  • Kool visuals. I disagree with the post about going lighter on the effects..They complement the piece. "Extreme" effects for an extreme sport. GL.

  • I agree, that's what I hear from everyone around here. I'm an aritst, no esta un machina.
  • I actually agree with the first poster -- I started out watching the video thinking "wow, great editing and effects (especially the map fly-over)" but I ended reminded of a bit from The Simpsons where Homer is directing each transition of a video to be a "Starwipe" and rebukes Lisa's discontent by saying "Why eat hamburger when you can have steak?"

I felt, halfway through like you just pulled every filter your NLE software could do and through it at the thing. A bit more tasteful approach to the use of effects would improve the overall quality. But, that's just my opinion. It would have also been nice to know more about the Jam (some A-roll, even if just a bit, interviewing about organization, who's there, who plans it, etc.)

Other than that, it's really nice. Good length, good shooting, good editing, and, again, the map graphic is really nice.

For more fun see Crazed: The Belly Dance !
  • You get my GL. The effects are a bit over the top, but that's the piece, so for this, I think it's okay, some like it, others like it more raw, I like it.

    GL.

Please click on my head and check out my latest rant hopefully the updated version is ready.
  • Thanks for all the greenlights. You rock!
  • cool stuff dude. GL

  • Nice editing, good camera work. I like the fonts that you used. You should try to do a commercial or a Current spot, it would probably end up on the air.
  • Thanks Homebisquit. When I find the time, when I find the time...or a E6600. Xmas is right around the corner. Thanks for the GL!!
  • This is so good, why is it not higher up? Great film technique, music, subject, the whole ball of wax, hope you move up here. Hope you get picked up for air, head and shoulders above some of the things that run, in my humble opinion. Come support my newest, Shadow Boxer link Getreel

I'd pleased to get your opinion, thank you! :

  • It's great as it stands, but could be even better with a short introduction about these BMX stunt riders by you, or by the riders themselves (think: "hey, I'm wild boy and I've been a BMX stunt rider for X years"). You need to set the whole thing up for the viewer, that's the only thing this is lacking: a short narrative in my opinion.

The music is great, I think the footage is killer, your overlay of special FX is tasty.

As for the low ranking, you need to get out in the community and watch and rank other pods to get others to do the same for you. It's a reciprocal arrangement. If you post a pod and never comment on others, no one will know who you are, and no one will bother to view your work in a sea of great videos all over Current TV. Getting out there and watching and reviewing other pods will get your work noticed by the community and get it one step closer to being on TV.

That being said, check out my latest pod when you have 5 mins, and get out there are watch other people's videos and ask them to come view yours! Good luck, this video is GREENLIGHTED by me. -zen

  • Good energy but too many filters right out of the box. Started to make my head spin a bit. I love watching action sports like BMX for the bike handling that is already so complex and fun to watch, it doesn't need extra layers of comlex filters to make it more interesting. I agree with the other comments too.. montages are nice but only to a point. Some commentary would bring this a long way. I'm working on a mountain bike piece right now so stay tuned.
