  • I like this, it's interesting.

  • This is great - it shows the discord among the streets and helps pave the way for the solution by reaching out to people who can make a difference
  • You back up your opinion with good stats.

The image of people being turned away for a place to sleep inside is a powerful one that hit me really hard.

The laws you mentioned were equally staggering... asking people for work is called networking when you have a job.

HUGE GL from me. This is the kind of pod that should be plucked from the list... straight to TV.

It will NOT appear on BIG MEDIA.

Please click on my head and give me your opinion on my pod "small town climate change" Please make a comment and take part in the discussion.

  • Every city should be doing things like this. GL from me, nice pod.

  • There are flaws -- the interviews with the shelter worker and the guy from Texas run too long; some sequences where the audio is marginal could use titles or V.O. to explain what's going on (or can be omitted completely). But no argument that the story is there and just needs some tweaking to get into airable shape. GL from me.
  • Great work! One time I was voluntary helping the careless and I know what they feel.

  • A worthy cause for a group of people that deserve more than their typical modicum of respect and dignity. I also concure with Dan Persons, the interviews run a little long, but not so much that I found it an issue, a few trims and this is TV ready. Congrats on covering such a timely and relevant topic! GL! Click my head and give my latest pod a view. :) -zen

  • A good cause very timely. It may be a little long for the net but I would love to see a full length doc on this. GL
  • Hello. I appreciate your work and admire your voice. Please help me speak for those who cannot. I've just uploaded a new piece named Journey of Hope. I am trying to continue to strive to speak for those who cannot. Could you give me your input and suggestions to this piece. Thank you for your insight. Cheers, Danielmklopp~

  • My ex- ended up homeless. He had an IQ of 145, but his life could never be fulfilled due to his younger years of abuse. On the streets he was beat up by a gang and spent 3 months in ICU and 7 months in a nursing home before going back to the streets. Some traumatic brain injury, some problems with his legs that occasionally made him unable to walk. Still heavily into alcohol, still generous to a fault and giving what little he had. When they took him to the hospital the interns learned surgery on him and he died. Yes, I appreciate this pod!
  • Great work!

  • Great job Jody - I'm proud of what you're doing! There are such desperate needs and if we are to show the true love of Jesus, we need to do more than talk. I'm glad you're doing something.

  • Too much early information. Get to the party, show it as a party, and have fun. Rather make it about the party, homelessness is a problem, but this pod was supposed to be, or could be, about triumph and celebration despite...

  • Great piece.

I would like to know some more statistics about this growing crisis, like how many people with small children are homeless, or how many people die each year due to exposure. Thats a big issue that bothers me. Even one the extremely cold nights most shelters will only allow people to stay 1 to 2 days at a time. Where do they go from there?
  • How can we find the billions for this war in Iraq while we criminalize the poor and deny them food and shelter? What is the point of being the wealthiest nation on earth if we can't help the poorest in our society? GL
  • Great story line ...got my GL.....When you have a minute - please review "The Kitchen Killer" - a POD on indoor air quality/burns associated with Open Flame Cooking and a simple low cost solution. It effects those Least Served.

  • I live in nashville, and this pod is definitely important because i feel that not enough people here in town acknowledge the growing homelessness problem in this city. This inspires me to contact the dude being interviewed in order to see if i can get involved somehow..

That statistic about how merely 5% of our current defense spending could eradicate hunger is on top of the money!
  • GL. Would love to see more pods like this, not enough of these. Nice comentary as well.

  • I GL this because I live in Houston where our homeless situation is flooded by Hurricane refugees. I myself, on my daily D/T commutes to UH D/T have fed the homeless out of my own sack lunch. I go to a college bordered by the D/T city streets, 3 bayous and completely boxed in by concrete spaghetti bowl overpasses, underneath which homeless seek a sleeping nitch. I never have money enough for my own needs, but I always have extra crackers and sandwiches. One day when I was hungry one of the homeless whom I had given a PBJ, collected $5 for my need by telling other working class folks nearby that I had fed him before. My paradym shifted! Feed the hungry always!
