Earthrace is a bid to break the world record for circumnavigating the globe in a powerboat, and using only renewable fuels

Great stuff. spellbinding to watch the bow dance in and out of the water. As most sure GL.
Tks -
Innovative piece. Innovative boat. I loved your discussion of the materials that made the boat and bio-diesel.
A hemp floor and 4 gallons of fuel from people's fat. I love it.
You get my vote and hope this goes straight to TV. This is the kind of piece that should.
Thank you for bringing this to the table.
I'd like your take on my pod "small town climate change. Please click on my head and let me know what you think.
Thanks.-

GL no doubt! fantastic piece. i especially enjoyed the last comment on how racing is a means to raising awareness for the cause. also liked the two camera action.
question: does racing at those speeds damage marine life? you hear this about jetskis (damaging e.g. sea turtles) but have heard conflicting reports. This guy is obviously clued on about these issues, was wondering if he talked about that at all. Eleni -
did he say boat made of HEMP?? and fuel from his own FAT? what could be better. I bet we have an ample source of fuel here in America. ....oops, did I say that out loud? Good luck in the race! GREEN LIGHT from me!
-
Hey Spiral, Great pod! GL. This is the kind of story I am thrilled to see. Invention towards a better future! And having a great time while doing it . Please take a moment to check out my pod on the topic of sustainable energy as well..."doing my part/ solar energy".
-
Eleni, regarding your question, I'm not sure that we asked them about that (marine life) directly, but one thing that has got to help on that matter: because of the design of the boat, most parts of it are barely underwater. I believe it goes between 1 and 3 feet underwater...just barely skimming the surface.
They also mentioned something interesting to us: if for some reason this biodiesel were to get into the water, the animals can actually feed off of it. Compare that to spilling typical fuel in the water and what devastation that can cause.-

The ship is incredible, very futuristic in everything: design and obviously the technology it uses to move. The video is very nice. Congratulations!
-
To the entire team at Earthrace and Pete, thank you for the fantastic ride. I have sent the link to friends and family. We are counting on you and believe that you and your entire crew will not only achieve your goals but educate us all along the way.
Best Regards and best of luck,
Jorge Bisbal -
great content and very well done,
i want to ride that boat made out of hemp!
keep it going folks!!!!!!!!!!! -
GL from me. I love your double camera bits while speaking with the primary role. The map with the route was well done and an added graphic. I was keen with your colours, music interwoven, and classy film shots. Well done. One concept that I enjoyed most, was that you've left me wanting more. Now, I want to know how this all turns out, and I'd like to know how the travel goes. Are you planning to follow ? Sweet. I'm supportive of this rad effort. Please take a moment to give your feedback to my recent re-upload of The Voice of The Murmurs. I'm trying to speak for those who cannot among these children I work with. Cheers. Keep speaking up~ Danielmklopp~

awesome ride and very well done! instead of bio-diesel these folks should look into hydrogen combustion. with an onboard desal/electrolyser, it could be travelng while creating it's own fuel. just a thought! my GL!

Says, This is an amazing story. It should air! HOW DO I GET TO GO ON THIS TRIP!
GL from me! -
Thanks to everyone for all your great comments and greenlights, also thanks to the staff for choosing us as the "Staff pick". About doing a follow up of the race we haven't decided yet, but it would be a good idea to do it. TJ Walkup, about going to a trip with the earthrace team go to www.earthrace.net and there you will find the info and contact information. We had lots of fun while doing this pod and we are so glad that the community has found it interesting and fun. Thanks again.

I was just reading through the comments again because I really was interested to hear what people would say about this.
For all of the reasons given below, this should go to TV right now. ..Can't wait to hear more.

Looks like a boat from a James Bond movie. That bit about using lipsuctioned fat is... creepy. Interesting, but... creepy. Good story, in any case, & GL.

WOW, a real James Bond boat. GL.
Edgar, how many days did the shoot take? -
Hi Sholao, we did the shooting in one day, thanks for your comment and GL

The story is interesting in so many ways. The pod keeps you locked in from beginning to end. I love the double shots. I love the boat, of course. I love the message behind the boat and the pod. I'm impressed by the editting . I want to see more.. guess that means it's great. Definitely deserves to be on tv. GL
I'd love to get your thoughts on my two pods if you got the time. Thanks -
Great work again, It's nice to see another pod from you guys. It looks like you spent a lot of time in post with this project as it looks fantastic. Great job. GL
-

Assuming this boat beats the record it will do worlds of good for the biofuels industry. Little things like this go along way in combating the notion that biofuels don't really work and is just hippy talk, etc. Same thing should happen with an electric car winning a car race, which could easily happen.
-
Indeed it must be intimidating to have 40 feet of water on top of you. Nice work. Beautiful shots.

That is so so so very cool. That boat looks so awesome I feel like Batman should be in it.
The one question I had was, why didn't the other people who tried to beat the record finish?
I've got a pod as well, but it's not as cool as this. It's about a band and it's called Eats Shoots and Plays Music.-
