Well, the song itself is fun and clever and the performance is top notch, and that wins my GL. But there's actually more you can do with this piece -- about halfway through (around the start of the instrumental bridge), you could cut away to other images: Tone working in his garden (with his friends/family?); Tone preparing & sitting down to dinner (with his friends/family?). Then maybe return to him at the start of the a cappella reprise. But just get in something to break up the sameness of the video.

The song had me on the floor...although I doubt that's the reaction you were going for. Liked the contents of the video, thought it would have worked better as a typical music video(green in feel of course)...but I like what you were going for non the less. GL.

DanPersons comments are right on the mark. If you were shooting an event video and only had one angle, this would be the one I'd use, but you could do a lot more with it. When shooting a multi-take music video, however, you need to have your subject performing to the same prerecorded song for every take...then you can sync any take and angle. I once tried recording a jazz video for a friend using three seperate live takes. Even as a long time musician, it didn't occur to me that they never played the number the same :) My second music video attempt went much better. Cutting to straight action shots that don't require lip sync is a great way to enhance this one camera angle video.
Also, keep in mind that video is a close-up medium.

P.S. GL for a great single camera shoot & using the tripod...I hate jiggly camera work.

Thanx to all for the positive feedback. For the record I'd like to say that the single camera shot is intentional.... and I understand in this day and age that looking at one unchanging shot for longer than 10 or 20 seconds can be irritating to the viewer. I have made other music videos with all sorts of angles, cuts and FX.
I believe the power and humour of this song is in its simplicity and I really wanted people to listen to the lyrics rather than get carried away in the "MTV fast lane of life". Zen and the art of being in your garden, if you will.
