A much needed persepective from within Missouri. The footage though disturbing was actualy beautiful. The music and the voice over are commendable. A sure gl from me!

Very beautiful shots. Change the vocals into something that sounds more natural. It sounds like you did the sound clip while playing the guitar.
But seriously... Trim your trees people. Ever wonder why they made it into a law in some cities/towns. Think about the savings in the long run.

Nature has a way of being beautiful, even while destroying things.
My heart goes out to the cold and under represented midwest.

I'm glad they got on the horn and called you to get this timely video up. We have family in Sprinfgield, Mo. and more in Pleasant Hope (Halfway), MO. This is affecting us in a very personal way. It'd be great if you ended this with the Red Cross Ozarks relief phone # on screen.

The piece is a bit long and the audio is of poor quality but Current should get some of this on immediately to show the devastation that has taken place. -
Thank you Current for snapping this up while their is a very Current and dire need. This is a viewpoint that must be seen by the general public! Knowing Current you guys will be plugging the red cross as well an telling people where they can send their supplies and money. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thank you all for your comments. I shot some interviews with people effected by this storm, as anyone living here is to one degree or another, and sent them out today. I believe this footage in addition to the other footage will make it on air in one form or another.
In response to RichyVapors comment that trimming trees would have somehow prevented this disaster... well, it wouldn't have. Big or small they all have broken in someway or another. I had a small tree in my front yard ripped up by it's roots. It's not a matter of lack of preparation. Unless your preparation consists of cutting down all the trees to begin with. In that case you can move to LA and save yourself the trouble. -
Great job had no idea this was going on in MO. The national media missed the story I can't believe it. What else are they missing?
-
Be careful about the sound affects. I have the same problem too.

what a site! i always do find ice coated branches pretty, especially when the sun is shining through...but yes, what a disaster....geeze...i don't want to say i live in a bubble, but i think i heard about this for a minute in newspapers and on the radio for a day, and then never again...and, this is a big deal...sometimes so many of us are not even aware of what is happening on our homeland, and more in tune with what's happening elsewhere. thanks for covering this...congratulations on getting selected for tv!
i read in your bio that you are into music, and are a musician...i would fancy it so much, if you check out my doc, 'the big brother show,' and let me know your thoughts. he's a really kick butt, one-man-band rocking it out, and i would love to know what you think!
peace.-
