But there are the points...
Michigan, who is upset about the new standards for cars that they think they should get the candidates to change their minds by holding a primary before everyone else. They think if they're forced to meet new efficiency standards it would drive up the price of a new car by $6,000.
If Michigan moves up to Jan. 15th--then NH would have to happen no later than Jan. 8th--Iowa needs to be 8 days before that--which could have them caucusing in mid December to avoid Christmas--if any other state moves, we could potentially cast our first vote for president in November...
A DNC meeting is to happen this weekend to punish those states, including Michigan and Florida who arent playing by these rules. Rules that are in place to preserve a process that allows for lesser known candidates to have a chance.
Without New Hampshire we would not have had Bill Clinton as president..
