Travel to Brazil as each week "The Brazil Show" takes you on a new adventure. Visit Rio de Janeiro with it's beautiful beaches, majestic mountains, old world architecture and of course it famous tan, tall and sexy Cariocas.

Learn about Salvador da Bahia with it's stong African culture and influence felt throughout Brazil. Afro Bahian music, delicious food such as "Acaraje", dance and capoeira dominate the culture of Bahia.

Tour the exotic Amazon rainforest, experience the thrill and sheer joy of a Samba school rehearsal, the beautiful mulata samba da dancers and drummers as they prepare for Carnival.



If you've never to Brazil, or have a longing to return, "The Brazil Show" will have you calling your travel agent and packing your bags!

  • What a great piece. You really captured the beach culture. GL. It just goes to show that you don't have to use pro editing software to tell a good story. (am I correct in assuming that you used iMovie?)

  • Thanks for the comments weskandel. Yes, I agree, you don't need pro editing software to tell the story, you need a good story and flow and rhythm. I've played on a number of top 10 hit records and they were recorded in modest studios.

    Yes, I used a combination of iMovie, FinalCut Express and Livetype. I use a lot of Gee Three plugins for iMovie also.

  • Excellent introduction and a good overview of the cultural treats on Brazilian beaches. I was a little thrown off by the bilingual nature of the pod- why not do two different pods in two different languages? It was nice that you introduced local people's businesses and highlighted them though, whereas most travel shows just go to the biggest places with the most money. I wanted to learn more about the place, though, to get more views of the beach and the different things that people see there. Overall, a great pod.

  • The male host is actually repeating in English what the female host says in Portuguese. So there's nothing lost in translation. Best place to stay in Brazil - that's a tough question, there are too many beautiful places to see, but the best place to stay in Rio de Janeiro is Ipanema

  • i have been watching the Brazil show since november 06 it made me order a ticket to go and expearience carnaval do Brasil.I am happy to see you made it to Current.This show is very informative and fun to watch also Mariana is amazing.This is definitely green light material,so i am gon show some love.Ive been at current since september 06 and i have a pod called african village in america about the yoruba settlement in America check it out lets connect.Do you have myspace page?

  • A fantastic and accurate glimpse in to beach life in Rio on Ipanema.

    I love the mix of English and Portuguese. Maybe more subtitles of what the people are saying would help those that don't speak the language.
