Kurtis Blow introduces us to the "Hip Hop Church", his protege Lamar Haney, and talks about the future of Gospel Rap.

Great work man, Kurtis Blow is fly. Check out our Ghetto Van Gogh vid.
My only recommendation is let us hear some of the MCs. Really, I don't want to just see their mouths move but hear them spit and Blow spin!
GL! -
hey Dr Plaid.
you gonna do something now about an Asian artist or are you racist or something?-

Yes,yes, yes another Holy Holla!!! Incredible to see that you've captured an inkling of the spiritual understanding & foundation of true hip-hop culture ON FILM. The purpose of hip-hop should have never been misconstrued or even paganized.......But then again, it was GOD who allowed for the evil to attempt to lead us astray in these ending last days. Thanks for this moving and well focused inside look on Minister & Brother, Kurtis Walker's being, and what he's been doing for our people in the "urban community". Thanks again for this much needed segment story.

I Love The Editing The Visuals Are Undefinably Sick :) The Only Thing That Could have made it better (in my opinion) if you woulda included the still shots with us and Kurtis & Noah -- Lol - Oh Yeah Maybe A lil Piece Of Noah & Kurtis Flowing (audio) - But Its Hot - Keep Doing Ya Thing Family
Respectfully Yours,
Tabou TMF aka Mr Undefinable-

good work. I would have liked to hear some of the hip hop, consider sticking some in. But still a great pod. GL
-
Good job it's about time we show the positive side of Hip Hop music. I too would have loved to hear some of the music.
-
Very cool, and produced really well. If you get a chance check out S.F. Die In:

Who would have thought; Kurtis Blow leading parishioners in a church through Hip Hop!?
This is a great pod! It offers an alternative view to the way Hip Hop is progressing in the music industry. With the Don Imus events of the past few weeks, and the badgering of Hip Hop for using obscene language, I think this pod shows us how effective Hip Hop can be if used correctly.
The most interesting thing about this pod, in my opinion, is the fact that Kurtis wants to use his talent to help today's up-and-coming religious hip hop artists understand the technical side of producing good music. When he gets into it you can tell he's very passionate about making sure the music that is heard and bought to the world is produced on a professional level.
Would have to say though, I would have liked to hear some of the lyrics, but other then that,
fantastic pod, GL! -
Loved the look of this and well produced, but you didn't let us hear any of the artists! Great job at any rate. GL.

Great pod! Love the footage, the editing was dead on and the subject was informative! GL
-
Very well edited. Gets the point across cleanly.
Inspirational, thoughtful and a great insite to hip hop and how it can work within the church for your youth. -
This is a very good pod, my friend. My only problem with it is... of course, we don't get to hear them spit.
-
I like the message and your passion.
-
very cool

It's beautiful to see the evolution of Hip Hop. Kurtis was a pioneer as an MC/entertainer; I'm glad to see he's continuing to pave the way for a culture that is very young and misunderstood. A lot to be learned from this pod. I look forward to your future work.
