Roughly a third of homeless young people in NYC are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgendered. The Bronx Pride Center wants to fight this epidemic.

  • Good piece. Compelling. What does LGTB stand for? I've never heard that acronym before. Any way, it's interesting because this problem will probably be all but gone in 10-15 years. About 10 years ago there was a church ministry in my conservative midwestern home town for young pregnant girls who had been kicked out by their parents. It was basically a homeless shelter. That ministry shut down because parents stopped kicking their daughters out for that (which is great). What I'm saying is that the trend in our culture is to react in the most extreme way first and eventually that kind of attitude dies down. GL.

  • Really interesting piece. Good choice of interviewee (Demon)...just out of interest, is LGBT a commonly used term in the States? Never heard it before but people in the film seemed to be using it as standard. Anyway, definite GL!

  • I like this story a lot - it's well executed and Demon is a compelling person to follow. She's likeable and strong.

    Great job on this - I wish it was longer.
