The camera showed me things I wanted to see, and the dialogue was interesting. New York is definetely ready to go the way of the rest of the world's large cities. Unfortunately, only a few American cities are.

What a timely topic with escalating gas prices. Nice to see this kind of story coming out of the City. Keep up the good work. Want to see much more from BreadandCircus. You are on a roll!
-
Watched this intently from start to the finish. Excellent documentary. The music is fantastic-first rate production. BreadandCircus is a team on the move. Offered many perspectives-really unbelievable. Loved it.
-
This is a great idea. Good production... GL! Like the fisheye shot a lot.
When you get a chance, please check out "SF Die In": link<... -

Good story, I had no idea that many people in NY were riding bikes, I loved the shot of the lady in the business suit riding down the street. I hope more people around the country see this and follow.
As for the production value, good music, camera was sometimes all over the place thus making portions hard to watch, however, with that said at times I felt like I was watching a Beastie Boys video (must be a NY thing?!)I would have liked some more interviews. -
Excellent alternative to getting around in such a crowded city. One has to wonder why bicycles aren't suddenly being 'rediscovered' in other cities and towns with the incredible gas price hikes! Best of all, they offer internships... I'd rather do my internship in a shop dedicated to recycling and renewal than in an office where waste is common.
-
It is a good beginning. The video is educational and has merit to promote conservation, sustainability and environmentally friendly. The video production is good. The producer needs to include more human faces and their unrehearsed comments.
I would rate this work excellent for beginners.
Continue your good work. -
Great work guys. Good movement, pacing. Interesting subject matter/ characters. Very impressed.
-
If you tighten this up some and remove some of the dead space, bad edits and audio inconsistency it would rock. Great subject matter, good interviews, good music..just slightly to raw yet. cook it just a little more and it will be ready for the air.
-
This is a great idea BUT 1/ lose the written bits - why not voice it over footage? 2/ tighten up your camera work - superglue the zoom so you never use it again 3/ use a tripod or a steadicam AND I was waiting for the bike shop guy to show us a bunch of stuff he'd found on the street (the "before shot") and the bike he made from it (the "after" shot. Then I think you'd have a great little video and I'd GL it.

Thanks for supporting our Solar energy pod with your GL. I would greenlight this again if i could but they don't allow that here. Hope this one goes to the top! If you get a chance take a look at our newest pod on Electric Cars link</...

Really god job on this. For some strange reason I feel like I have seen a pod on this place before. Nevertheless, you did a great job with it. My only complaint is that you extend your graphics in length. I am a pretty fast reader, but I couldn't keep up with those paragraphs that were only up for a few seconds. And the audio transitions seemed a little off. Other then these two things, pretty strong piece.
By the way, thanks for the email!-

Nice work. You had some good interviews and the music was really well selected for this piece. I wish I had bke recycling place like that nearby. GL.

This has a such a funk to it, plus when my Dad retired he got into fixing up bikes as a hobby.

Good idea! A friend of my in Japan however got in trouble for doing his own bit of recycling. He found a bike in a junk heap, exchanged the bent front whell, and went on his way - right into a nest of cops.
They yanked him into their office and got in touch with the old owner who lost the bike to a thief 3 years earlier. The owner refuse to let my friend keep it so they had to thrown it back on the junk pile! Madness!-

I like -- people need to see this

I've lived in NYC all my life and never even heard of this place before. Sounds like an awesome alternative to just throwing the old bike on the side of the road. You had some great footage, a nice mix of media, and a fine-tuned editing style.
Finished taking out the trash yet? Great stop by and check out Susan Cagle a young lady who performs in the subways of NYC and has the spotlight being set on her! Thanks in advance for your comments. -
Thanks for the feedback guys. We really appreciate it! please check out our profile and contact us if you are in the NYC area.

The sound cuts out between some scenes. Can you fix those? Anything to get it on TV! :)

Bread,
Thanks for checking out Drawn For Life.
I think your story is great and it does flow nicely. Editing and music def help with that. I wasn't able to read through the large text pages, hope you can lengthen them:) -
You've go my GL. Love this bike group. Good interviews. Great message. Could use a little audio work and do you have permission to use those songs? I want to see this on TV! Good luck getting the votes and keep up the great work.
