  • Is that statement about mormon missionaries being wanted by the ladies true? If so that is hilarious (not because it's impossible--just because it's awkward). Any way, GL. Could have used some real video footage, although the still shots were all good. Check out the Sony V-Cam I put together. <a href=" http://www.current.tv/watch/27085796?s1=topVids&lis... I'd be intereseted in your opinion on it.
  • Yo Brandon, I wasn't as into your other piece, Learning to Act, but think this one is phenominal. The photos are great and you really have some great audio here. I never got bored and the photos supported the speakers so well. If you can shave a few more seconds off of this piece I think it'll be even stronger. This is great.
  • Agreed. This is very well done. I love the images. Shows how well a story can be told with still black and white images. Nothing fancy, just a good story.
  • I like this pod. GL
  • Very nice use of photographs and I like the decision to make them all black and white. It's also nice to hear about these two in a nice informal, human way.

  • Damn hard telling a story strictly through stills -- spectacular work here. GL from me.

So, are you photographer branching out into video, or a filmmaker with a great eye for photography?
  • I like your phtography and your honest approach...
  • Personally, I'd have mixed video in with the stills, but it's a courageous piece to make. As a one-off it's good.
  • Love the approch!! GL

  • This is a very interesting perspective. I think it really gives a much more moderate view of Christians in America, so props for that. I do agree on having too many photos, while they were excellent I would like to see a little video in there. Green light nonetheless.

Please check out my first vid launch, We Create! Thanks

  • Fantastic, I never saw this pod until now and bam it's already on its way to TV. I used to be the second most wanted man in America as well!!! I served a mission in Oklahoma and Texas. You captured a great pod here, very unique and subtle but great. Stick around.

  • Great approach ! That is a unique way into looking at a world i knew nothing about. Great stills, and likeable people, makes good pod. Good Stuff.
  • Again, I'm totally digging your style. Great photography. Great story. Solid command of the documentary genre. Would GL if I could, but seems its already on the way to TV. Congrads.
  • I love the simplicity of this piece. Graphic and concise.

I would love to have heard some opposing views on missionaries. But, alas...

Check out Sister Beatrice Explores if you get a chance she's on a mission too.
  • its nice to have a pod that is so "real" i guess?.i mean i dont feel like its something you have to take sides on, its just a tranquil informative pod about LDS missionaries.( "btw" i live ten minutes away from roseville california, where elder diego's siser served)
  • I have never seen a pod done entirely in photos, but it worked! Nice job. I really am amazed at how easy it is to follow the characters and movement just through the still images. This piece gives some nice perspective on the Mormon missionaries. Also, as another response said, I'm glad to see a pod that is straight up information, a shove my viewpoint down your throat sort of thing.
