the "Scottish Ramble", is a Scottish Festival in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The festival lasts an entire weekend where visitors can enjoy highland dancing competitions, traditional Scottish music, and folklore.

  • Wow, I love it! It's really good! It gets a foxie GL! It has a great aspect for me since no fewer then none of my relatives are Scottish!

    I just wish we had events like this in Vancouver, I'd go! I love Celtic music and this vid. Awesome work!

  • You have some really lovely shots in this, beautiful lighting on the interviews. Also there's a lot of information in a short amount of time and it moves along nicely. Well done. I really appreciate how much footage you have, different perspectives, close ups, everything. Great.

    I think this pod has a lot of potential. It's an interesting subject. My only gripe is the pacing. For some reason it is not holding my interest the whole way through. It might be as easy a fix as adding some narration to tie it all together, as is I'm not quite sure what the thread is? With a few tweaks I'd greenlight it!

  • At first reading the description I was a little bored, thinking of cultural heritage days in class when kids would bring in pasta if you were Italian or chopsticks if your Asian, all these obvious culturally shared ideas. Scottish? Where is that going to go....but I was super impressed, both with how informative it was and the editing decisions, I wanted to see more dancing, but I always like more dancing

    JoeVisco, I would like there to be a bit more dancing as well ... I am going to make another cut. I am having problems with some release forms for the kids during the Ross Sutter part, so that needs to change and in doing that I might add more dancing. I've got tons of footage.
