Newconsumer.tv landed in Swaffham, Norfolk, UK, to climb the UK's only wind turbine open to the public.

Last week, the EU committed Europe to producing 20 per cent of its energy from renewables by 2020.

In the UK, that mostly means wind power, which - contrary to some reports - is being greeted with open arms in parts of the country. One of the nation's wind-lovers is the tiny Norfolk town of Swaffham, which is already home to two major turbines and has just received a planning application for another six.

• While the storytelling not very inventive, the content is engaging and PROGRESSIVE. Green power is a hot-button issue that should be promoted and allowed to proliferate. Go GREEN and get GREENLIT!
• Excellent way of taking a simple field event, an experience, and an important topic and synthesizing it into an engaging pod. Bravo! Bloody hot host!

• Nice work. Alternative energy stories like this need a voice, and Curent TV is a great place for them. -zen

• Those things are massive! I still reckon they're an eye-sore, but hey, lesser of two evils I suppose.
Good film - GL

• Very informative video, shows how just a small amount of turbines can power almost a whole area, and drags in the public aspect aswell - the local communities opinions, and as you have demonstrated well here, there is hardly anyone opposed to turbines. They are relatively quiet, pollution-free, and efficient, plus they don't look any more as bad on the landscape as some jack towers pumping out clouds of smoke 24/7, if anything they look far more pleasant.

Very well done - Green Light'd from me.
• The edited footage of the construction of the wind turbine was fascinating. My boyfriend recently bought a book on the power of wind and I was blown away by the finished construction of the Dubai building was a very interesting story that I highly reccomend checking out. Keep the momentum with this! I think it is great to continue to authenticate the use of green energy sources and how successful that are in industry. Dont stop your work, it is important and will remain so for all use viewers!

Thanks for this! Feel free to check out my first vid launch, We Create.

• I love this pod! Great subject and well executed. You have my GL.

My only thought is that this is Current TV, not new consumer TV. You may get a hassle for embedding your own trademark so deeply into the content, including the narration itself.

Current loves things that do that with their own name but I don't know how keen they are to have some other TV logo mixed in with theirs.

I share your compassion for our earth, it would be nice to see more turbines all over our planet.

Thanks

• Thanks for this great POD.

Wind is a big deal and a big part of the international solution to solve our Global Warming crisis, so this POD is very timely.

Who needs Nukes when you can use the Wind??
• Very informative, persuasive, and well done! GL!

When you get a chance, please let me know what you think of my recent pods, "We have issues..." and "Retiring in Exhile."
• This is very Informative, relevent and interesting.
Nice piece.
• This video did a "golly good" job at describing wind energy, and its positive effects on small towns who want to cut their dependence on fossil fuels, and the girl is really cute.

• e x c e l l e n t presentation with lots of appeal & stellar editing. thanks
• this is an important message. i was glad to hear the number of homes that are powered by the turbine. one question i was left with was-- what is the cost of the turbine?

stylistically, it was well done in the traditional lecture newscast kind of way, the music a wonderful complement, and the person on the street interviews added an good dimension. clearly, there is no tension here, as everyone is in agreement.
Graham
• i absolutely love it! GL!
• awesome.. everyone should watch this...GL

check out our pod if you get a chance, let us know what you think...
• Now if we could just attach them to our houses .... Nice Job! Hope to see it on TV soon.
• Professionally done. The sound quality wasn't great though while the interviewer was up by the turbine.

• needed information!
• Fascinating. I had no idea how wind turbines worked. And contrary to what some people think, I think they are quite beautiful monsters...not too much of a scar on the landscape. Not sure if Current will air something already pre-fonted, but maybe...good luck getting on air.
boo3gie
• Thank you for sharing... We have tons of turbines here in Palm Springs, but you still taught me a few things about them. I could learn a few things from you. Please, please, take just a moment to return your input on my own CAN ART video. I would personally love your consent for TV.

If you have time could you check out my VC2 ad for L'Oreal, its called "Old to Young" please give me suggestions on making it better and please give it a GL. Thanks.
• Its good to see wind turbines in the press... this video is boring. walking shots, boring! who cares if your going to walk up to the top, boring! to much host and not enough characters....

Rich
• it is surprising to see 14% of red light for such an important and good made pod. france is covered by nuclear plants and we are very afraid of an accident.
you have my GL.
yet i think you could also add some critic about wind turbines...

and please don't forget to watch our sexy film "sorbonne off limits" and tell us what you think about
taad
• It's a great idea, but I have to admit the video seems to be lacking. The humming by the wind generator really ruins the shots from the interviewer's angle. I would gl if it didn't just seem like a bad attempt to puff piece some really important stuff. Do some work to it and add some critic and I might reconsider.
