film by Osama Qashoo
This film is a personal story made in memory of my friend Haza' who was killed while we were together. I was filming when one single bullet hit his heart, terminating his life forever and changing the lives of all those who knew him.
I managed to capture some footage of his death and in this film I am trying to show the journey of a bullet and the effect it leaves behind. It is a film to humanize those who are being killed by bullets so they are not seen only as numbers.

Asalam Alakum, Thank you for sharing this remarkable, incomparable and moving footage. Current will want you to contextualize this story, where you are, what is going on. But please retain the liveness and how you preserve time and space of the events. Thank you.

It's important that we see the difficult lives some people face beyond these shores. With so little words, this pod says so much. GL. Amazing footage too.
-
moving and razor shape real. Amazing.
-
Incredibly moving and terribly sad. GL
I think a short Voice Over establishing the relationship of the cameraman to the victim would be very helpful.

I would love you giving an introduction to this piece on camera, and then following the story with a voice over. Though the pictures are very moving, they are not personal.
You need to tell this as YOUR story, not just another person in Palestine.
Make those changes, and I'm happy to GL.

Everything about this video is right except the events it depicts.

This is such powerful footage and such a personal story - I think a voice over would really help contextualise what's happening on camera. It's incredibly moving.

The film, though powerful is not accurate in what it is showing. The footage is misinforming its viewers. If you look closely, the camera films the soldier eyeing some Paletinians, then it quickly cuts to the soldier again from a different angle. He takes a shot but the viewer is unaware as to where he aimed only to assume it is at the Palestinian. Next thing you know, the person is killed. How do we know that he shot the Palestinian and the Palestinian did not acciendtly get killed by one of his own in the line of fire? Films are tricky and can be quite convincing, This is a touching one and we want to believe that the soldiers are out to kill every Palestinian that is in there way as this film depicts, however, one can not believe everything they readm seem or hear. Please use CAUTION WHEN WATCHING A FILM SUCH AS THIS.

in respond to POST 13, i dont think that this is a hollywood movie where you can see the bulet commin out of the gun and slowly hits the target and some times been stopped by the hero.It was clear in the scene that only armed people at that space were the solidiers and it is normal that the camera will shake as aresult of the noise by the gun shots. i think that such a film is highly appreciated where the picture talk about it self
this shows a real story; a story which happens some where across the oceans where kids are always forgotten.
i think that the importance of such film is that it raises the awarness of people for what is going on on the other half of the world
walla67.... when it is one person who is killed then it might be a n accedent, but when over 3500 kids are killed, it is a ploicy ...
i think that this is one of the most effective films i have ever watched ... it worth to be seen -
it is such a bad situation over there - and nobody does anything. this only shows a little of what the occupation has been doing to people...and it is very powerful. something has gone very wrong when a soldier feels it is ok to shoot an unarmed boy dead.
my condolences to the families involved.
well done osama.-

I think that that this is a good piece especially if you can see it as an emotional montage. However, I would suggest that the one shot with the guy that has blood coming out of his nose to be removed, not only because it is very disturbing but also because the story is about the friend who got killed and not the other ones. That kind of threw me off even though I can see that you have placed them there because you wanted to show the greater effect of this situation. Overall though, it is a good piece and certainly an authentic one.

GL: powerful and disturbing. Although some of the scenes are difficult to watch I actually felt as if I was one of the crowd, a gut-wrenching moment of terror when seeing a dead human-being. For me the 'greenlight moment' was when we saw the solider's perspective through the APC door, an alternative viewpoint.
I don't think it needs a voice-over as it wouldn't necessarily add anything that can't be deduced. In this work it's the emotion which provides the impact rather than the facts.

Don't change a single shot , sound or edit. Show it after the watershed by all means, but GL from me. Superb. Should be required viewing for all politicians.

How can you confirm that these clips are not just a montage of events that were edited down? How can you prove that your friend did not just edit out clips of more Palestinians throwing rocks or brandishing weapons? What is the backstory behind this? You are just showing an edited propaganda piece that portrays one side as angelic, while the soldiers are completely cruel. Nothing in life is black-and-white; there are always shades of gray. and for a conflict like this, you need to admit that both sides make mistakes. If you put stuff like this out, you just fuel the fire. If you can't admit that only your enemy commits atrocities, you are very naive.

Ignore Hakmed..
This is great! The best thing I've seen in years.
It's almost childlike in it's simplicity. It made me feel like a little boy caught in a terrible situation, not really knowing truth from fact or right from wrong and not really trying to know... Just caught up in tragic events.
No heavy-handed voice-over.
No shots of people trying to explain/summarise.
Just a really clean, shocking and beautiful piece.
Beautiful. -
It's such a moving film, beautiful and so sad. This is not just a film,it's definetely not a propaganda ,unfortunately it's a reality for All Palestinians.
And do not tell me it's their(Palestinian kids) fault. How can you compare a bullet to a stone?????When you sit in a tank will a stone hurt you??? If you were a kid with no gun, would a bullet kill you if it went through your heart?????????
Don't change anything in this film Osama...
Well doneViva Palestina!!!

This is a heartbreaking story that needs to be seen. The Palestinian people are living in a hell created by Israel. It is time to wake up to the truth.
-
Whatever we read or see or hear may be true but these shots are not accurate, Why must we assume that Palestinian Propaganda on this film or any You Tube film is teh right way to assess what is really going on? Can't you see that the shot is an edited clip?
COME ON PEOPLE, USE YOUR HEAD!
-
the Arab people don't want to help their brothers so why should the Israeli's.
The creator of this film and the person who put it up only wanted to cause more demise and hatred to spread like it is now.
