Scratching the surface digs into the ability to use the turntable as an instrument to express oneself musically. Interviews with DJ's: Oneshot, CMC, and B-strut reveal how the media's portrayal of the turntablist is effecting those the DJ community. Our goal is to expose the side of the art that has been misinterpreted by today's media.
A short overview of the instruments components will be conducted by DJ B-strut. Examples of the instrument being used will also be exhibited by all of the interviewees.

Really interesting topic. The interviews in the beginning dragged on a little bit. You shouldn't have to include titles that show what the questions are, though, just include the parts of their responses that are relevant. The beginning drags on a little bit, but the second half is very interesting. I would have liked to see them out performing, I think that would give you some really good b-roll to tie in with the interviews, and give you some more engaging visuals. Although you do make good use of the b-roll that you have. If you wanted to give a really comprehensive view of it, a little bit about the history would be cool, too. But I loved seeing how a turntable can be used as an instrument. Really cool.
Check out my pod on the Guardian Angels, and let me know what you think.

Nothing new here, as you correctly say in your introduction, DJing and turntablism has not been represented in the media correctly. I am not sure if this pod is a profound improvement on the previous docs of turntablism. Light it better, and say something new. Well composed, however.

nice work. good angles on the broll -- I liked the above the shoulder view of the scratch table.
check out my pod "generation debt" if you have a chance. It's about gen x/yers facing credit problems, student loans...you name it.

Pretty good piece, the only problem I saw was with the lighting and the reflection on the cameraman in the first interview in the pod. I think it was very informative for the average person GL. I also think it could have use a few more cutaway shots instead of jump cuts.
Check out my pod on a photo montage artist and tell me what you think.
