Rats have become a real problem in parts of New Orleans, where construction debris provides perfect cover for the disease-carrying rodents. With the help of Operation Blessing and the City of New Orleans Mosquito and Termite Control, the RatBusters program is treating the hotspots and providing a safer environment for New Orleans residents and their families.   • Rats are gross, but this pod is not. Definitely an interesting story. So many issues in NOLA, and we should keep exploring them. GL.

  • It was a well produced spot, and tells an important, specific story. And I'm for anything that helps NOLA. The trouble I'm having is that it really is a commercial for Pat Robertson's Operation Blessing. And this organization has been involved in some pretty serious controversies in the past. (Like a pretty ugly dust-up involving Rwanda.) Yes, I'd like to know more about them, and I'd like to know more about their work in New Orleans, but not from a single source with a vested interest in shaping our feelings on the subject. It's just not a balanced report, as well done as it is. (Frankly, I would expect nothing but professional-level programming from a professional network like the CBC. I prefer the stuff that the people make.) Sorry...
