I just wanted everyone to know that I got so caught up in making this and had so much fun, that I didn't pay attention to the length of feed, until after upload. So I guess you all can just watch and hope you enjoy, while i work on my second try.

Of course a pesimist would say you're at the bottom of the list :) but I am an optimist. You have a lot of good clip choices here. Enough to make three commercials.
I don't have the game, but after seeing your commercial (I'd actually call it a web trailer). I'm glad I didn't get my name in soon enough for the free copy. It would be easy to lose oneself in the SIM.
It hasn't earned the Green yet, but the material and music selection definately sets you on your way.
Try making a 15-30 second ending on the baby. Tell a little story with it. Quick courstship, wedding and thenthe baby leading into a pitch line such as "Sim 2 - As real as life itself!"

The hardest part in editing is deciding what to leave out and the thing you will spend the most time at - especially if you don't script it to start with. A good procedure would be to ask yourself before putting asnything in your production is "Does it further my story?" In a commercial. every second counts. I'll be back here to drop a green on you when you get that revision up.

On the technical side, your audio record levels or gain were too high on the narration (kid's voice). Nothing worse than distorted sound. Keep an eye and an ear on your levels. Sometimes this can happen in post with the edit program (Premiere). Also, I noticed the quality of picture seemed a bit blurred and I would have expected it to be very crisp considering the graphics resolution of the game. Are these videos generated by the game or did you use a camera to shoot the screen? There are some excellent screen capture (video mode as well) programs such as SnagIt! that might do you more justice. However, content wins over quality everytime if you have to make a choice.

I'm looking forward to seeing your shorter version. You got some awesome advice from knightshot on the voice and the blurry recording. Your design sets are really detailed though so I hope you can get a better in game recording on your next try. I also liked the music selection it ties in well with your approach on memory. I think that the way you did the fade out from baby being born and hugged to the pool looked pretty good too. Professional even.

Very good, you did a nice job on shortening your first VCAM. Can tell you really are into the feeling of what you are creating and you are "hooked on Sims".

Wow ! You really did streamline it. Much much better!
That audio needs work, but you really have come a long way on this. I'm giving you a yes just for most improved. Get that audio tidied up and you're there.

I know I already made a comment about this one, but I just had to add a couple of things I noticed. Although, I think the audio is a bit off, I can appreciate your use of all four seasons. Also, I noticed how well the music went with each frame. I love the use of the old film, it ties in with remembering back to your childhood and what you described. Honestly, I think this has the best angle with describing the Season's EP. Work on the audio, other than that, It's great!

Better improved version, it has sound problems already commented, but the concept is very good.

I'm just going to comment on the Sims 2 technical stuff, most of the non sims issues have been addressed and fixed. There are cheats to remove plumbobs, thought bubbles, and badge popups. Removing them would draw more focus to your sims and not all the mess above their heads.

Judging by the graininess of your film, your PC is being pushed to the limit, or your in-game recording settings aren't up all the way. Try filming uncompressed without audio- it's all in the settings.

If you plan on editing it again and want to allow yourself more time for the story, remove the EA- challenge everything line, it's not needed and would allow 3 extra seconds of showing off the game.

I really liked how you had the music threwout the video. The angles where fantastic!

I think it was exceptional video! The poem was a nice touch, too.
I would improve the video by giving more elevation to emotions and touching up the sound with the recording. Maybe add some elevation in the voice as well? (these are just my views~smile)
