great stuff, i particularly like the emphasis on the poor, expecially the part with the man in the airport or somewhere slouching with a coca-cola cup being completely ignored.

It's a little long, but nice is nice. GL.

It's the LA I know and love. GL
LA is many things and often hard to capture. Focus on one strand and you miss the whole.
Check out Sister Beatrice Explores if you get a chance. She knows LA pretty well too.-

Huffman showed us this at the beginning of class and it inspired us all to do more time lapses and to think outside the box. Nice work. I would love your input on my doc. "Alpine Avalanche".

Well, very creative video. I feel as though the majority of the audio is over dramatized for the content. The ethnic style music is also a bit awkward for LA, but the visual is very stimulating in an abstract sense. It lacked a particular character, but that is because the topic is on LA. However, it did incorporate a sense of conflict with some of the scenes near the end, and much of the video included great motion with the camera and subjects.

This reminds me a lot of Godfrey Reggio's work. Not sure if that was the intention but this is very similar to if not influenced by his style and vision. Superbly done. This may not be the type of traditional pods the network picks up, but that does not mean this is any less deserving. It's mesmerizing.

I was going to say the same thing as far it being reminiscent of Reggio. The yoga shot killed me. Loved that more than anything. The yearning of yuppies in spandex for this ancient spiritual connection in some Bally's gym. It'd be great to see something like this on the network, but I think this runs too long as it stands. I think it would be worthwhile to condense it.

Wow! Baraka comes to LA! I lived there for 5 years, and it was fun to take a trip back (without actually having to be stuck in traffic!). The music you used was powerful, and really helped convey the narrative – as did the pacing of the shots. Thanks for reminding me that there are many ways to tell a non-fiction story. Sometimes I get trapped in a certain way of looking at stories and it’s always good to be reminded that there’s an entire world outside the box! Well done!

Current should air this. Very evocative.
