I've heard its going to have the same black interface as the back of the iPhone, except its made of a thermal-sensitive material to recharge the battery while its in your pocket.

So it's basically an iPhone, but without the phone. Not unexpected and, in my mind, is the next logical step for the iPod. Makes me say DUH quietly and to myself.

from what i understand, the only new iPod will be an upgraded nano. it's reported to have 5Gb and a video screen. but the new video iPods with touch-screen technology will probably be available just in time for xmas.

I've been hearing that the screen will be widescreen. I don't know how this would fit with the current iTunes video service that has movies in 4:3 320x240 square format. (unless they now offer widescreen movies?)

I heard that all the parts are made from eatable / biodegradable materials and in a pinch could be eaten as a power bar
