  • It was great to see this blog about hoopin'! The hoopers are always out in force at Burning Man, and they are really a great group of people who are a blast to watch and even join in with.

  • I thought the topic was interesting and your investigation informative, but somewhat lacking in terms of overall closure. After the pod I found myself wondering how hooping had suddenly become so popular, where people were getting their hoops from, what fans of the music who didn't hoop thought of those who did. I did enjoy the "hoop girl" character", who put a face to the eccentric movement. Speaking of "movement", however, I felt that the prevalent use of cross-cutting might have detracted from the overall value of the video, as the pod featured interviews on both the beginning and current state of hooping but didn't create a real impression of its growth over time. Perhaps this was a result of the movement having grown mostly as a niche scene before this pod was created, but a clearer progression of interviews might have helped build a sense of progress.
