"One of the new angles at Toofy this year is the festival's partnership with Current TV, a cable and satellite network (chaired by Al Gore) that culls about one-third of its short-form content from independent filmmakers and allows viewers to decide what gets aired.
"They're going to have representatives at Toofy this year ... listening to local filmmakers pitch their stories and if Current likes them, they'll commission (the filmmakers) to produce these segments for their network," Jeff Siebert says."
