Collier County, Florida - Home of the everglades, world class beaches... and a mini Vatican City? 20 miles away from Naples, nestled among tomato farms, is the brand spankin' new town of Ave Maria, zip code 34105. The town is the dream of Domino's Pizza founder Tom Monaghan, and people are moving in to be closer to god. Find out why.

  • neat!
  • Loved this film. Some Beautiful imagery. You've got a talent for capturing the abstract images that count. It's thought provoking too, you really researched the right interviewees.

The shot with the line in the street going to church was great "all roads lead to God", nice touch.

The final reflection was a good idea too and really makes it look like a broadcastable pod. Well Done.

  • Top notch Emile! But than again, you probably knew that. I've briefly about this town on tv, but your piece has an honesty about it that I haven't seen before.
  • I think people often confuse two very different views among religions. The you're-going-to-hell-if-you're-a-non-believer flocks and the congregations that espouse inclusion.

When I lived in Glasgow, Scotland, gaggles of Muslim girls attended Catholic school wearing headscarves.

  • Beautiful and fascinating... trust your filmmaking, no need for the investigative journalist character. Great work.

  • Though I believe in equality for all I think that the ACLU sould stay out of the rights and freedoms of people who want to live their lives in the way they want to live them. What cultures are you talking about there are over a billion Catholics in the world every race, color, and nation has atleast some catholics and other religions are not excluded from the town so what culture are you talking about. The separation of church and state is to protect the rights of those who wish to practice their own religion and if people want to livwe in a town where the majority have religious beliefs that are the same then why is that an a problem. In this country there a many comunities where there is no culture except that of those who live there and they like it that way say what you will but ethinic groups have always stayed together who has the right to tell an African Americans living in a black comunity that they need to change to think about the needs and culture of white people. This country is going to hell and no one cares if people want to spend their own money to live where they want to live who are you to say they don't have that right.
