  • GL I was totally hooked into this road trip. The music you chose really adds. Your VO helps to personalize the journey. The sum is greater than the parts and that is the magic of filmmaking.

Love the maps - How did you do that?

I wish you had established the Cargo Van right off. I spent the first minute thinking you were driving a Semi or tractor trailer. Your VO is distorted in the final section - maybe a problem with the compression? The first VO section sounds good. It may be too long at 11min but I didn't lose interest.

I'm in LA and used to live in Ontario. Nice to see the bitter cold on my laptop. Remember it well.

I hope you got more than $5 for that run!

Check out Sister Beatrice Explores. A vision in Black & White.

  • I agree with the previous poster, however I think you could tighten this up. The scene with the directions is excessively slow, perhaps combining the shot of writing the directions down with the audio of taking down directions. The foreshadowing voice-over is a little heavy handed especially considering that there isn't much awful that actually happens (no mechanical problems, no accidents, no horrible weather). The strength of the piece is in its atmosphere (the music is definitely a plus) so in general I would remove most of the expository voice-overs. Many things, such as the danger, can be inferred from the video itself.

  • Very entertaining. Top notch story telling. GL
One suggestion, for TV it may need to be trimmed some. Nice work though.

  • Build up, narrative tension, music… this is nearly a brilliant video, but the thing is: the driver delivers a package to the gold mine, but what is the package the video delivers?

  • I liked it but would have to agree with the others on the audio, and cutting some areas this video does not need to be 11 min. to be effective! Remember you could have the best video ever but with out go audio people will just move on to the next video. Keep it up!

  • Cool footage and some cool shots. I would have to agree with the others with the audio issues. You should just be able to turn down the levels and re-compress it. Current will let you re-upload and it would definitley help the green lights.

Let me know if you fix the audio and cut it down a bit. I will come back and give it a GL.

Also, I would love to get your feeback on my Pod when you have a chance. Thanks, tommy

  • I love this pod, the way it has been shot is cool. I think to be aired on current TV there is places where it could be trimed down without taken away from the overall film. Well done GL

  • I saw this on CBC Exposure. Nice production. Audio needs to be craked back a bit. Nice build at teh first. Really catches you. I also notice some of your videos made the top 10 on the exposure.cbc.ca website under the name miro. Congrats.
