  • Hey.... this is a clever idea!
    I just think it's a little long.
Maybe a "Jump cut" might make it quicker and funny---erer.

  • Great concept for a commercial. I really think this is the primary selling point of this vehicle, and they did a great job of summing that up. Very clever!

  • GL Point well made.

Check out Sister Beatrice Explores. She gets a little gas sometimes.
  • A subtle way to express a simple truth.

  • I love it, especially when you "reved" the Prisus' engine. GREENLIGHT.

  • I'm not sure i get it...if they both filled up for the same amount of time, wouldn't their receipts show the same amount? I would have rather seen them breeze past the gas station with the Audi filling up. I like the silent revving of the engine!

  • Blando3 raises a good point. I really like the use of maniacal laughter and the overall concept. This one made me smile. If the end were re-shot to show the Prius zooming past the pump into the sunlit day and leaving the other couple filling up as you already have them, but overlay some dirt and smog while they're at the station, checking their watches impatiently... that would be the icing on the cake.
  • i like the style a lot but the ending didnt quite work
  • Again, the turtoise and the hare thing. N-e-who, screw looking at the reciepts. The Prius needs to have filled up way before them and sped off. It is a great concept though.

  • I like the Warner & Siwinski version now (Jan08) showing on Current. The geeky girl at the end was funnier. Couldn't find it here, tho. The concept does a good job of getting the point across without being too preachy.

  • The first time I saw this commercial I thought it was good, but then I saw it a couple more times and the concept is empty. It doesn't make sense, actually. Two people going to the pump are spending the same amount of money, unless one person is buying diesel and the other Premium gasoline. If they were buying different kinds of gasoline, then I would understand this commercial. However, these two cars are filling up their tanks, and one would assume that they are both running on E and need a fill up, because I don't see why one would be getting gas if they didn't need it. OK, so then why are the Prius people laughing at the other people when they get their reciept (and who actually keeps those anyway??)? Did they get some sort if discount since they own a Prius? I doubt it. So they're spending the same amount of money per gallon. And if even if they have a smaller tank and thus spend less money, I don't see how that counts in points toward the Prius. If this commercial were about a couple who sees a neighbor always running to get gas, and they're rarely ever having to get gas, then that would make sense. But this commercial doesn't really. The idea was good, but it wasn't really thought out to the end.
