Loved the images and story. GL.

GREAT JOB! Reminds me of the lewa education fund they have in kenya. So many good people are trying to do positive things in this crazy world. I know i took my school for granted when i was a child. How lucky i was.
-
Lovely little snippet. A small suggestion. You could use the teacher's voice over and lay appropriate visuals over it for a more effective portrayal. I longed to see more of the school.
-
How did you find out about this? Lovely, and a GL from me.
-
Thanks for the comments! To sholao, I taught at the school while touring in Ghana, in the end, the teachers and students there taught me more than I did to them. -y.
-
I teach in Canada, our students have no idea how good they have it. I'm going to show them this pod.
I agree a little more of what the teacher said could be V.O. but it certainly doesn't take away from the piece. Great job.
Please click on my head and check out my latest pod... "small town climate change"
Thanks,

lovely. would agree that cutting away from the head-teacher, especially at first would be even more effective, since you have such great colours and images it's a shame not to use more of them. that said, GL from me -eleni

Awesome. How did you find out about this? I will take notes. I'm new to this whole video shooting/editing/journalism thing but please check out my video "AM/PM"!

I had the privalege of spending a week in Sega to check out possible volunteer placements for Canadian university students. Godwin is an inspirational person. At 30, he has begun a school which now educates 300 students, has brought filtered water into the community & now even electricity. Quite a humble, determined man.
-
Really Great! I enjoyed this snapshot into Sega...
-
I volunteered in Sega too....and think you have perfectly captured the hope that the school represents for the community. With so much hard work from Mr Godwin, hopefully there can be more success stories. Loved it!
-
Great work... this needs to be seen by the wolrd on TV now.
Check out my "Pipes of Peace" pod... click on my photo. -

Please someone forward this to Bill and Melinda. Wonderful pod. Amongst the best I saw so far. I have been to Ghana a few times. It is sad to see people in the U.S. quitting school here because they don't like it. Seeing all the children crammed into rooms with such enthusiasm is inspiring. I just wish somehow they can finish school and fulfill their dreams instead of having to drop out for lack of funds or because they have to work to support their family.

Makes me feel less crappy about the loans I have to take out for grad school. At least I have the opportunity. I can't imagine starting a school from nothing, but the teacher is so optimistic. I even got a bit teary eyed at the end. Great work.

May Goodwin's determination and love set an example to those who still don't think that one person can create change for the better of many.

I really enjoyed your film, it was refreshing and inspirational. Where in Ghana is the school located? I recently spent some time in Abeka which is about 20 minutes north of Accra.
Well, good luck and great job + keep me up to date.

This film illustrates how lucky we are in the Western world. How our youth take much of their school life for granted.

I hate to say it, but American children who attend school free of charge NEED to see this piece on many ages attempting to learn and empower themselves through education. This is a nice piece! Definate GL. Probably a 3CCD camera to help decrease pixelation, but use what you have to get what you want.
-
By educating the wonderful children of Africa we not only give the people a chance but also their wildlife.
-
this is lovely site. It lets the rest of the world see what other people are having to do in order to get the same things that the rest of us take for granted. Niece cinematography and editing.
-

Thank you for sharing that awesome video post... I am doing my part do build leaders in the community. I could learn a few things from you. Please, please, take just a moment to return your input on my own CAN ART video. I would personally love your consent for TV.
-
What I like about this piece is that it recognizes the real heros that we never hear about or see.
-
Your work is amazing!!! GL

Ysu... Hi, homegirl. I greenlit your video a while ago, but I think my comment was overlooked. I could really use your personal review... Please, take a chance at my New Urban Art pod. It could use your personal videography advice and approval for TV.
Don't sleep, now... Thank you! 8') -
GL to this moving pod.
i think africa merits more attention. in france, for example, the media deal all the time with the humanitarian "crisis" in palestine and lebanon while the real crisis is in africa!
please don't let our first pod "sorbonne off limits" sink! it also merits little attention. -
It's really inspiring to hear what this guy has done. You've captured this very well-- the footage of the kids and the outiside of the school is extremely moving.
When you get a chance please check out my pod "generation debt." It's about Gen X/Y ers facing credit problems and student loans.
Many thanks and GL from me. You've got my support. -
Nice story...
-
i really like this - a good story, well told. GL.

Yes for GL...
This is where change really takes place. The Grassroots level.
