A Boxing Gym Transformed

The spray-painted letters across the gym doors stated, "We will box again."
It was the rallying cry left behind by a local boxing coach shortly after Katrina's waters flooded the 1932 gym, named the Edward A. Kattengell Center, with more than 5 feet of water. After five months of intense renovations, Operation Blessing restored the gym and adjoining community park. As of June 16th, they've celebrated its grand opening to the New Orleans community.

  • juat wondering if I have to vote on this one - would rather not, because I find the guy in the yellow shirt rather annoying!
    That's probably not a particular good reason to sustain from giving points, but I also find the video slightly too corporate fundraising like. I always admire people who start up something new and stick with it despite all the problems which occur, but it seems to me that this project rather spend a lot of money on other people doing the work instead of DIYing it.
