  • I enjoyed the scenics of Paris, having never been there. The endless 2-shot on the interview might not have been the best idea. It was about the dancer right? The discussion on pigeons was interesting. Maybe more dancer, less interiewer.

  • @ coyote7 I wonder if you know or really care how discouraging and hurtful your comments can be? I notice you have no videos of your own. This girl didn't want to be interviewed. We had to grab what we could. It took awhile to thaw her out. You say "it was about the dancer right?" in your smartass way. Well yes...and no. This interview is part of a larger project called "My Life As A Frog" which is about...wait for it...my life in Paris. No - she didn't want to dance for the camera - all we could get her to do was the warm-up stretches. And finally...I'm not a professional videomaker. If I were I wouldn't be wasting my time on this site being criticised by know-alls like you. But thanks for your comments. Don't slam the door on your way out.

  • I like it but just in the helpful criticism department I think the interviewer dominates a little. Much rather hear from her, but he ends up telling a bunch of the story. Wait... is that you? You're not wearing the wig. Anyway, I greenlit. Very professional looking.

  • after looking over your comments back and forth with other producers, i feel less upset about our interaction today. you are defensive when given constructive criticism, and you give other producers red lights for not liking what they have to say isntead of giving constructive criticism of your own.
    with that said, your video here is self indulgent and not something i would want to watch on TV. therefore, i will give it a red light based on its merit not the fact that you've insulted me today.

  • What an interesting piece. The pacing and the music are great, the subject matter intriguing, but the interviewer steals the show! Fascinating, none the less. But I'm confused. Is the Moulin Rouge show a burlesque? Is it like vaudeville? What do they do? And what's the accidental reference to the "false breasts"? It begs for explanation.

    What gives?

  • Even after the Baz Luhrmann/Nicole Kidman movie you still don't know what Moulin Rouge is all about? And you're in the movie industry? There's even added footage of the topless dancers here. If you'd bothered to read my other comments here you'll see this is part of a series called "My Life as a Frog" - which is about....my life in Paris.

    I couldn't watch the Luhrmann "Moulin Rouge" all the way through, as much as I admired it technically. Maybe it was Nicole Kidman. And still, I didn't know how much bearing it had on what goes on at the "real" Moulin Rouge today.

    You still haven't answered my questions.
