    • Hey Mina, finally watched your film. It's really good, captures the 'flavour' of the shisha culture well. Raises interesting points, didn't know about the cigar clubs, is that true? What's your email by the way? Bev

    • I like the fact that he has covered this issue which affected the Arab community in London and around the country
But he needs to improve the sound quality and increase the size of the subtitles

    • severshed,

thanks a lot for your comment.

well, like the young kid said in the docu, the cigar clubs were exempted from the ban because the UK government deemed this a 'traditional ' culture. I don't know if the government even involved any academics or experts in which cultures should be included/excluded. Their reasoning, and their implementation of the ban, still eludes me and others, including all the shisha cafe owners.

    • Good work, well shot and edited and an important topic,

Do you think that laws should make exceptions for traditional cultures? If so, Isn't tobacco part of a culture as well? And what would that law look like?

let us know what you think!

    • Brilliant expose of the cultural elitism and ethnocentrism of the smoking ban--it is a violation of your human and religious rights and could be argued in court on such grounds.

    • Nice job!! Clean shooting; interesting subject matter... Appropriate background music.

The audio of people being interviewed is significantly softer than the narrator voice... It could make it a little hard to hear... Otherwise, nice job! :-)
