20202 Vision gives 20 musicians and 20 film makers just two weeks to make a music promo, having never met before.
Rochelle's Born from the Sun is summed up beautifully here by Lucy Barker and Bird in the Hand Productions for 2007's competition. In addition to the music promo, a documentary paints a picture of the the process behind the scenes of Bird in the Hands' incredible work. We also catch a glimpse of the amazing boys and girl of the band, Rochelle. In which they squeeze out some words about themselves and the project. Which is all very nice.

I really liked the bit where the pictures of the people's faces were moving, that must have taken ages to put together but a really cool effect. Brilliant.

nice look into a a band, film makers, and 20/20 ... a good story for fun and inspiration. Good mix of clips to get a whole story out in a short video.

It's unfortunate that Current doesn't have a music video category, and it's fantastic that you've found a way to sneak some through! I thoroughly enjoyed your work, and I look forward to seeing the pod again full res on TV. The 20202 contest interests me. Our town is both band and production company rich. Are the promoters franchising the concept? I'll get the Google on it.
Thank you for your contribution. I'd love a VCAM review if you can spare 30 seconds. Cheers! -
I can't even begin to imagine how frustrating and tedious it was to make that video with all of the still images. I think that would drive me insane!
Very nice pod.-

I really like this pod, but I'm not quite ready for a greenlight, and this is why:
I think that the pace and duration of the film were too constrained by the music video - it looks like there was a decision, early on, to use the entire music video in this documentary, and I think it's time to reconsider that decision.
...if you decide to cut out some of the music video, you can also cut some of the interview sequences, making the entire pod shorter - you could make a documentary that's just as good as the music video, rather than one that simply puts a new frame around a video that we could watch somewhere else.
I like the overall structure of the sequence, but each segment could be a lot shorter. I'd suggest some difficult edits to cut the film way down in length, including cutting the music video itself, so that, at the end, people will want to go find the video for themselves.
Keep making videos.
