  • Thats was sick like a fakie tre flip to nose manual.
    What a cool contest! You had some awesome footage and the VO works well. Also some solid editing!

    But the pod seems to lack focus. Its about “Action & Adventure”
    although half of it is about other aspect of Venice Beach.
    Which are really cool and definitely an adventure. But (in my opinion) you need more of a focus.

    Maybe you could just touch on the contest and thus widen up the pod to give more info about other aspects of Venice. (And i bet you have LOTS more footage:) But this would be a different, travel oriented pod.

    If you want to focus on the Manual contest a little more, I think you just need more information. Maybe make it contain more elementary info. for example, you could explain what a manual is to all those that don't know.

    Just some suggestions.

  • nice video. Comes over very professional, cool music, great topic and issue. Only sad that the contest has "Red Bull" in its name, because of the whole multinational corporation shite, distracts from the grassroot stuff.
    Well edited and engagingly narrated. Hope to see it on telly soon.

  • i do like this, but i think it's a bit too narrative driven - it would be great if we could meet some of the skaters, or the locals, and talk to them about what they're doing, why they do it. or even what their favourite flavour pizza is (it's just good to meet people, and it really helps if your film is too driven by a single personal "we did this, then we did that, then we thought this" narrative. some of the shots were really good though, particularly those of the 2 of you in the last half of the pod

  • I'm afraid it sounds a little like an advert for RedBull. Maybe if you had more information about the skaters and less about the event.

  • I'd like to see more on the musicans, the skaters, etc. A little more human interest would make this really nice. But you need to make me care about someone, have a connection with them. You have some really nice footage and did some great editing, but you need someone's story in addition to to just the facts about the contest.
