At Goonj, every inch of cloth is used, nothing is wasted. We experienced firsthand how this unique organization transforms one person's waste into a resource for another at the headquarters in New Delhi, India.

Another great interview and another great story. If only this was allowed here in North America. Our consumer driven BIG MEDIA society wouldn’t give this a second look. I commend you on finding.
Thank you for doing this work.
GL for sure.
Please take a moment to check out my latest POD, BIG MEDIA fails again and feel free to give it a GL if you like it.
Thanks.-

How could this get a red light / no vote.
TO CURRENT STAFF... remove the NO VOTE... the person who did it, didn't even take the time to comment. That is PATHETIC.
sorry for my rant, please flag this comment so current staff sees it.-

GL "the solution is an old cloth" perfect. what could be more clear. I would also like to see "The Land Owns Us" get on TV. Great work.
please take a moment to see our videos:

I feel that subtitles will enhance this video. It is a little difficult to understand, but it is very well made. It brings something new to the table, and above all awareness!! Great Job. :D

very poignant piece today in our buy and throw away culture. We can't continue in this way. this is a good message! I don't think it needs subtitles throughout. I have no problem understanding the guy. You might put some captions though on statistics on waste production to drive home the need to recycle and re-use rather than throwing things away.
Please check out my montage on culture if you have a moment:

Like drew I'd like to know why this was redlighted - how can the producer modify their pod to unvoiced criticism?-

Very good and interesting story. I think it also flows well. My only suggestion would be to loose about a minute and a half of content in order to make the piece a bit more concise and hence stronger. Good luck! I hope you will like my piece too. Cheers

Good story. Always love pieces about other cultures. GL from me.
Check out my latest here. It was filmed in Indiana. Sony V-Cam -
Interesting.
I like the fact that some parts of this gentleman's business was explained, other parts were not. The idea of poverty and sanitary napkins and having children sleep in holes in the ground is stunning to hear about. Here's a man doing what he can to collect cast-off fabric and other stuff to to make available for the poor.
On the filmmaking side, I wasn't clear where the story unfolded. The music got me part of the way there, but a subtitle might be appropriate. Also, I agree with other viewers about the excess footage that might be carefully cut -- footage we called MTS footage back in film school: moving through space footage. It's footage that isn't germain to the narrative. One more thing. What seems to be missing are shots of people getting these reclaimed bits of clothing or other useful things.
Best,

I think the best thing you could do do make this pod better is to take away the "Globaloneness" animation at the beginning. Nice piece though.

I believe this one needs another edit. The long, drifting pauses don't lead me anywhere. I also felt that he made the same point many times over. I love the subject and series, but I'm not supporting this pod yet.
