These little beings, which we often take for granted, make up almost 80% of all creatures on Earth. Sculptor Dave Rogers talks about the initial concept of this art form, his work with natural materials, and the amazing experiences and achievements he had over the years with his touring exhibit.

Congratulations, my dear brother Fernando Valle ! It is a very interesting subject ( " big bugs " ) and also the quality of the movie sound and picture is great. You are getting better each movie you make ! I wish you all the best : success, happiness, health and wealth ! A big hug and we all love you and miss you so much !

This is an awesome pod, and the art works are amazing!!! Absolutely greenlight! I liked the fact you made it without any music. Just hearing ambient sound of mountain and insects makes me feel like I'm there and looking at the art works right in the forest...
If you have a chance, please take a look at my pod "CASA DEL MIGRANTE". Thanks. link -
I especially enjoyed the content. While the production values were decent, (more variety in shots would have been nice) the message was what I truly appreciated. Anything in this day and age that draws attention to our ecological surroundings deserves a second look. Good Stuff!

Totally fresh and interesting! GL. When you have a chance, check out my pod, "Retiring in Exhile."

Really amazing artwork and great pod. Too bad there isn't any footage of him at work. Good job! GL.

I really liked this. I would like it even more if it had music!! Great job. Thanks for the comment on my pod.

Very interesting subject -
Hey the dinosaur is in the woods a few miles from where I live...nice to know some of the back story. We need more art like this in our lives. Thanks for sharing this story.

very well done.

This is a really lovely piece and his work is absolutely beautiful. I would have preferred some variety in how you shot the bugs. I also like the fact that you didn't make the look scary in the video. Which I am glad about the video really goes a long way to show the importance of them.
-
Thanks for the GL.
I am from SLC and I think this guy came to the Red Butte Gardens there, I missed it and was really sad because I knew that people were raving about it. I love how he uses the environment as his gallery.
The pod could use a little, shall we say, spicing up, so that it isn't so NPRish, add some music, a little faster paced etc. but GL from me.
Thanks again! -
wow! His artwork is amazing! Kept me interested the whole time, good editing job! GL!
thanks for watching mine! :)

GL Excellent Video. Very beautifuly shot and clear instructive interview. And I love the mission at the end of taking care of the world around us. OH.. and he is a fantastic craftsman/artist as well!

Really interesting topic. I like the way shot the artwork; not too creepy, but not friendly: very neutral. The interviews were educational and inspiring and the editing pace was just right. GL!
-
Wow, that's some amazing work of art... Good job on the video, beautifully shot and well edited... Would like to see more from you.

I would like to say THANK YOU to all of those that have watched, voted, or posted a comment on this pod so far. I really appreciate it!
It was a great experience to meet Dave Rogers, to learn about the initial concept of his exhibit, and the educational platform that it ended up creating over the years. It truly is a reverse perspective on the world, and an opportunity to get more in touch with our natural surroundings.
THANKS AGAIN!!

cool pod! There's a creepy spider sculpture in Tokyo in the Roppongi Hills area that creeps me out everytime I see it.
I like the concept of this art and message behind it. Major GL!
Good use of voice over of subject with footage.

Its a nice piece great art; it could have used some more childrens reactions and some sound design. Overall I liked it and have never seen this art before so thanks for bringing it to me on Current.

Great pod! Thanks for sharing this interesting art.---GL.
This was a gracefully and tightly edited pod. You covered a lot and never lost my interest. Solid cinematography: professional yet artistic. Its ready for tv!
My only constructive comments are that you jump into the subject much too quickly. In my opinion, it would be nice to let the audience "discover" the sculpture nestled in the woods. Maybe just one shot to introduce the art BEFORE you talk about it.
Great stuff.
Adn it reminds me of a documentary I just saw about the art of Andy Goldsworthy. It's called Rivers and Tides........but THIS
web copy does not do it justice:

As I voted I saw, 46 other people voted Green, and for a very good reason. This pod is fantastic. If I were a kid I would be yelling "mom take me to see the big bugs!"
And now that I'm an adult, the child within wants so badly to go and see those bugs.
I'm going to find out where and when I can go.
The Ant is my favorite. Thanks for the piece. -
Thank you for sharing your art... This was a very cool piece, through and through. I could learn a lot things from you. Please, please, take just a moment to return your input on my own CAN ART video. I would personally love your consent for TV.

Very professionally sound, as oppose to my audio in my latest. I promise I set my audio at -12db, there was just a huge difference in tone between the two people in my pod. But, now, this is NEAT! Dave is right. This is an instantly interesting art that anyone would admire if they came across it in the forest. It is nostalgic of 'Honey! I Shrunk The Kids!' killer ant scene, too...Awesome work!
