But exercising requires getting up and...well...exercising. "Regular exercise may work as well as medication in improving symptoms of major depression, researchers have found." I wonder how exercise compares to self-medicating with things like alcohol. Although I don't think that's really medicating in the end.

  • nobody understands that if we were not depressed, we would be exercising. depressed people don't care and we don't know why we don't care. doctor treats us as though we're not trying hard enough.

  • That's so true!!!!!!!!!!!! I have it all in life, and I really mean ALL. LOVE, a great family, an education, a house, a car, great friends, even a great body even if it sounds stupid to mention it.... and still... i feel NO MOTIVATION whatsoever to do my things... I've been wearing pijamas the whole week, procrastinating at home, going to bed late and waking up at 3pm...., not going to school... missing important job interviews, missing appointments with lawyers I wasn't supossed to miss.... I don't know what's going on but I don't even want to go out... I've just been asked out to dinner and said yes and said no and then called back and said yes again.... it's hard for me to take decitions, from the samellest to the biggest ones.... I haven't even bathed today.... and I don't care....

    Tomorrow I'm supossed to hand in my Final Internship Project and... haven't even started it... actually, it was due last week ....

    Exercising is great, but not on my to-do list!
