Mattel is making history, folks! For the first time in recalls-from-China history, the company that issued the recall of goods manufactured in China has now admitted that there was a design flaw in the recalled toys that was their own fault, not that of their Chinese manufacturers. Mattel has now apologized to the "Chinese people", which sounds a bit dramatic, but which is fitting the historic nature of these events.
