This small dog has a hole in the roof of his mouth that engineers will plug with a custom prosthetic. They will do trial surgery on a model for practice and then "Pez" will go under the knife about 2 months later.

I know the researchers who designed the implant for Pez and the veterinary surgeon who performed the surgery at NC State University. They are super nice people and extremely talented. If you want more information on Pez's successful surgery and custom prosthetics go to these urls.
