  • Jonathan,

Thank you for emailing me the link. I think you have a great piece here. The visuals are stunning and that building is beautiful! After working in production for 20 years I can honestly say this is a piece that would hit air -- given the topic of show was focused on architecture, art or great places to travel to. Keep up the good work and quit local news already! You're too creative.

*Oh -- and I know you mentioned something about the ending maybe being cheesy... I really think it works as is.

  • I did my MFA in Chicago Thank you for posting this pod. I will like to invite you to see my CURRENT ad and get a comment from you. Thank you
  • I think the video really brought out the idiosyncratic nature of the Milwaukee art museum. I lived there for a while and i really appreciated the museum. Gl.

  • Good story, nicely presented. The V.O. sounds a little thin, can you get some bottom into it? GL in any case.
  • Jon,
I'm glad I checked this video out. I'm sure this story will make it on air. it's really well produced.

  • congrats on a fantastic piece. that building is worth making a day trip to the next time im in Chicago.
  • Great visuals and fun topic. It does seem a little too traditional newsy for Current in the way that you have put it together, but it is a very different kind of pod and I like that. gl

  • this is one of the best videos Ive seen on this site. I really like how you discuss the museum and implications for art in our technological world. great shots especially when you zoom out of the triangley part of the building :) I live in Minneapolis and might just go check it out.
  • solid work we have here :) well done mate
  • ues to you. I give you a greenlight!

  • Very good work. Liked how you put together all the elements, Calatrava's work and the art in the museum. The interview was very well shooted and the lighting. GL for sure.

  • Very well done - especially the writing, shot breadth & quality, and editing. For such a short piece, it really does the museum justice ... something that's difficult to achieve, considering the magnitude of what there is to be said and shown of this amazing architectural structure and institution. Constructive criticism: The quality of the VO is distracting (sounds like the VO artist is out in the field), and there's something about this piece that takes itself oh-so-slightly too seriously in tone. Keep shootin'!

  • Sorry , I did GL this piece. Calatrava is one of my favorite architecs in the planet. Milwakee is the most fortunate city. BTW the photography is great.

  • way cool! i want to go there. i love the idea that an art museum should reflect what art is being shown inside. awesome. great pod, informative, and the photography is great. nicely done.

  • Nicely done. The opening shots were enticing to the eye, beautiful composition and scenics. Only caveat, your VO sounded a little wooden, but I found the entire piece appealing. GL! ...see you on TV. -zen

  • Yes YES! GL. This is a museum I have not yet been to but I remember a piece by Bill moyers( i think) on this. Great to see your short on it. It feels like you said alot in a short time and I feel like that is what is best about Current TV. Let me know hwat you think of my pod on Solar energy called "Doing My Part/solar energy"

  • Well done, and the architecture is spectacular, would have been interesting to juxtapose with the history of the breweries too. or not.

  • This is a well done piece. I like your angles, close ups of the interviewee, and I especially liked your comfortable plug into your position as the interviewer. I like the contrast of natural lightening in the cam view. I felt like there was a crispness to the piece, and you did a wonderful job of mixing in some great feed of variation. I enjoyed your artistic pose with the artwork, and some great angles included floor shots. You've got a rad eye for detail. Well done. Keep me posted. Cheers! Danielmklopp~
  • I enjoyed this piece. Great photography. Great subject. Great production value. One critique: you may have overdone the compression on the VO track. Sounds like a bad radio. GL
  • Very well done. I just checked out your profile to see what film school yoiu attended :) Your journalistic skills show! Flows well. The music bed was a little loud I think around the 2/3rds mark. That is the only negative comment I could come up with and that is probably a point of debate depending on the sound system one is listening to. On standard computer speakes it si probably fine.

Congrats! You definately will find a place in this industry. Look forward to seeing your future work.
    Cheers.

  • Jonathan, you're work continues to inspire me. I miss seeing pieces through your eyes in this small time market. You are a true talent, and you can just add this piece to the many I love. From the girl left anchoring in Junction without you, keep on keepin on buddy!

  • I've been there! It is amazing and your pod showed the fantastic architecture and beautiful detail that went into the museum. Great job!
  • This is a great piece. You not only convey the story in a journalistic way, but you contextualize it for the digital age.
