We spent a day with Bobby Paige aKa Mr. Crack as he drove around NYC spreading his anti-drug message to the youth and beyond. As a former drug addict he now promotes drug awareness through his book and his "Mr. Crack" van.

  • This man is on a mission that all of us should respect. Crack is the scorge of America... thats that. Mr. Crack has been there and back, and his method just might work

  • that was a really cool story...well arranged....great job....

    I think you could have a pretty big impact with this if you brush it up a bit. some of the picture inside the truck was too dark...instead would be better to use those soundbytes over more street shots.

    the second half was a bit slow for me. There were a few clips where Bobby lost the sincerity of his message.... ...where he is kind of overselling his book to ladies in the car..and comments afterward.....still important to make the point that he is selling a book though.

    then....what could push this pod over the top...for me...is if you interview one or two of those....or any people currently suffering addiction...

    then this pod would be baller....

    also--what was the motivation behind Mr. Crack's going from using crack to advocating against it? I would like to hear a bit about that...the creation of the van--the words & the images.
    The clip of the users--I didn't think worked well because they played up to the camera too much.
    all in all I think this could be a great & worthy piece.

  • I think the mic in the crack smoking shot was distracting, after all it was a very powerful visual and the audio didn't need to be perfect. A little longer shots of the writing on the crack van would have been nice.
