Its tough finding housing in NYC, this is for sure. Is it worth the squeeze to live there?

Tokyo Stylethis book is a great representation of small space living in Tokyo

I live in a 200 square foot room on 28th Street and Broadway in New York. My building is filled with interesting people who live in tiny spaces, many without bathrooms and most without kitchens.
I choose to live small for several reasons: First of all the location is prime and rentals in the area are through the roof. I can walk nearly anywhere I need to go. Secondly, It feels good to take up less space and use less energy to live. I come from the midwest where homes are huge and the A/C is on all summer. I feel like I'm making a sacrifice to help prolong our habitation on this planet.
I will submit a tour of my small space to current soon.
peace,

Thinking of moving to NY, yet again more fear of rent has been instilled in me....
