To spend a day with June Bug is to see a neighborhood come alive in unique ways, and to have an over-the-shoulder vantage point on a life lived between margins. Those margins are both economic, as June Bug struggles to scrape together what money it takes to bring him mean comforts, and geographic, as he pedals among the streets between Washington and Bedford Avenues below Atlantic Avenue, streets lined with junkyards and garages, and then ventures onto streets that are newly fashionable with refurbished brownstones and young professionals.
