Skype is free. So how did Ebay think it made sense to pay $2.6 billion to acquire the company 2 years ago? I love when business types talk about "monetizing subscribers". They make it sound so evil!

  • Skype out/Skype in is not free. And that's the really useful stuff, not Skype-to-Skype.
