If not, you could end up facing a class action lawsuit from blind internet users like Target is. A federal judge in San Francisco approved class action status (so anyone who's had the same issue can add their name to the lawsuit) for a case that says the company is violating federal and state laws by failing to use widely available and affordable software that makes websites accessible to blind people. The software reads back-end code and describes items on webpages and is used by many online retailers. Target says their site is accessible to blind customers and that they abide by all applicable laws.

Websites in the UK have to be accessibileYep we have this in the UK. If a website provides a public service it has to comply to a Disability Discrimination Act, so users with various disabilities can still use the sites. I think River Island a well known high street retailer where forced to redesign their site as they initially launched it in flash.
