Holy crap Robin, that is so damned nerdy - what's even nerdier is that I completely understand what you're talking about. Funny enough, I did a design project at my internship on proxemics and it all revolved around a formula (ironically, the SAME EXACT fundamental formula you used for your example). People were obviously a little weirded out that I would choose to do a project that centered around a formula.
