As more and more people are wearing jeans that are so tight they look like they've been spray-painted on, older, bagger pairs lie redundant at the bottom of the wardrobe. But what to do with pairs of jeans that are too frayed or worn to give away to charity shops?

Here's twenty five ideas. A couple of them are a bit questionable (denim waistcoat, anybody?) but suggestions like a nifty camera bag or iPod holder make up for that.

  • I love blue jean quilts. But give it a year or two before abandoning your more comfy jeans - I give the tight (restrictive and totally impractical) fad about 6 more months, max.
